Back from the game

by AbovetheI » 24 Feb 2008 14:46

And what a fecking load of shite that was. Defence? Did they turn up? Final third? How many nosebleeds did I see today. Absolutely shocking. If we play like that for the rest of the season then we're dead certs for relegation. Even Derby could have beaten us today.

Anyone who still thinks "we''ll be ok and not get relegated" should visit their Doctor asap imho. We're not good enough this season and because we didn't buy better players and the players we did buy "aren't ready yet "(c) SC we won't be staying in the Prem. Anyone who believes we will bounce back to the Prem after next season is living in cloud cuckoo land. We were woeful. We had nothing to lose, literally, and should have been peppering their goal with shots.

Did we have one shot? Apart from the Matejovskjovsjky blocked shot in the first half?

My RTGs are well and truly cracked. We're going down, there can be no doubt about that now.

No, I never in a million years thought we'd win today, but I did hope to see a display to suggest we might have a chance in our remaining games. That didn't happen and what I actually saw was a team completely bereft of ideas and going nowhere but down. Sadly I fear this may spell the end of my match attendance as I have a sneaking suspicion prices will not be dropped. And I ain't paying £545 to watch Championship football.

What position was Kitson supposed to be playing? He seemed to be crossing the ball to no-one most of the time?
Cisse has played his last game at centre back.
Oster shouldn't be allowed out of the changing room.
Doyle should get his hair cut.
Hunt should ask Doyle about an appointment with his barber so he can enjoy some vision.
Sonko has a Kryptonite lined jock strap.
Shorey for much of the game thought it was a Sunday afternoon stroll.( Does he ever practice kicking with his right foot?)
Hahnemann should join Shorey in kicking practice.

Bikey, Rosenior, Kebe, and Long should start against Boro with Lita on the bench with De La Cruz.

I'm afraid to say that it looks like Coppell has absolutely no clue as to how we're going to get out of this slump.

It's now well beyond a joke that we're starting matches with John Oster within a 50 mile radius of the stadium, never mind starting on the pitch. He wouldn't even get a look in at any other Prem team and I wouldn't even want to see him start if we fall back into the Championship, which is looking increasingly likely.

Doyle needs to be dropped as well.

From what i heard from SC on Reading 107 after the match,he will make wholesale changes against Boro.
A little late but couldn't see why Lita didn't play today.SC will just bit the bullet and play lita and others as well.

Dont agree that Doyle should be dropped thought he was alot better than Kitson today who for the last few games has been poor.

Why did Oster start?

It comes to something when we're rooting for penalties to be missed or saved for a celebration instead of a goal.

Doyle looks completely clueless at the moment and is but a shadow of his former self. That said, he's far from alone.

It seems he's going to ignore personalities and play the best team.

Can't be any worse than the old guard.

I'd rather see Lita than Doyle at the moment.

Watched the game on Sky Sports, and i disagree with some comments on here. Oster - clueless, no question. Doyle and Kitson just wernt playing down the middle, going out wide and thats not what you want from your strikers. Long looked off the pace. Cisse and Sonko however saved the team from a lot further embarrassment, whereas the likes of Shorey, Hunt, Harper Murts etc looked distinctly average
