Sir Rodger Doyle I think we will only lose one player next season. Some others maybe pushed.

Agreed. If any scout bothered to watch our games they'd realise there are few worth taking. Shorey will move on which is what his career needs in all honesty. There isn't a player in England whose gone backwards more in a year than him. Other than that seriously who would want any of this lot?

Roy Keane!!

He could have Hunt, if we got offered anything like the stupid offer in January then he'd go. Actually any offer would be suffice.

Alan Partridge Original post is easily right enough.

Coppell this season has been terrible.

wrong, all the plastics have been terrible. supporters who left after the 2nd goal today, shouldnt bother coming back and should be ashamed to associate themselves with this magnificient. were you there when we have 9,000 every game in Div 2? I WAS. Were you there when Bullivant was managing at the end of Elm Park? I WAS. All plastics on this site who've only come for the Premiership, should f*ck off. You're not proper supporters.

Yes to all of the questions you ask. And yes I did walk out early today, having had enough of watching car crash TV. Madjeski and Howe spout utter shyte about ambition and competingeffectively but won't put any decent money where their mouths are. As far as I'm concerned, they are the people who aren't proper supporters and Madejski can get some other mug to massage his ego for him.

Coppell was up to his good old negative team selection and tactics today and when he brought on a sodding centre back when we were already chasing the game demonstrated that there was sod all chance of us getting anything out of it.

I agree...but was just responding to AP's question....and I have to agree that if we do go down that offer for Hunty sure as hell wont be matched come the summer

I don't know whether you got that my post was a well-deserved dig at those who have slagged off Keane's transfer approach this season.

Ultimately they are going to get what they set out to do - survive.

I think for just under £40million investment I'd have hoped for a little more. and also having spent that I'd like to not see Dwight Yorke playing central midfield for my team.

However

Sunderland > Reading

As it happens I think he has spent way too much on the players he has brought in to the club but I suppose if they stay up it will be vindicated which is where I guess you are coming from....BUT on the other hand if they do down it will have been a huge and costly failure...as things stand it looks like he may prove to be vindicated but only just.
Perhaps I deserve a whooosh

Unfortunately in today's game £40m on top of not a lot = not a lot. Sunderland started from a lower base than Reading in the summer, so the £40m has taken them to the sort of level we (somehow) achieved spending very little. They were never going to do anything this season except survive (just)/get relegated. And they earn that £40m back just by staying up.

Is Coppell's current state of follicle possession relevant?

the sad thing is, I don't think they are. We are capable of playing a lot better than we are doing, but we've just gone to pot.

Thou Voice ...for any people that enjoy stats, how many other Premiership teams have actually gone eight on the bounce in a row and kept their manager?

at least someone on here has seen the light. I'll re-new my seaso next year whatever happens. would just like Madejski to have the bo**ocks to get rid of Coppell.
