Platypuss Meanwhile, Lita starts for the reserves against Villa tonight. :|

And, looking at the full team sheet for the stiffs makes me think that the talk of wholesale changes to the team for the Boro game was just that - talk.

That's depressing. What's the team again?

Nothing's going to change. We've not got a squad strong enough to be able to change much.
Major problem with Villa running straight through our midfield - do we have any other midfielders available? NO, we don't.
Oster looked shit out there, do we have anyone else? NO, only Jimmy "Bas Savage" Kebe

Basicly we're pretty much stuck with what we've got at this point and it's not really going to change before the end of the season.
Why on earth we didn't sign anyone worthwhile in the previous transfer window I don't know, but according to some of the posters on here we are doing just fine and don't need more players..

If you can't see that Kebe changed the game for us then you are blind as well as stupid. HTH...

Ideal Explain what Kebe achieved then?
Did he manage to deliver one single cross? No, not one!

He pushed Villa's left back into the corner meaning he couldn't break out and support Villa's attack. Oster wasn't able to do that the entire 55 minutes he was on. Kebe was a handful for Villa's defenders. He also gave Harper and Matejovsky an outlet for their passes. If he had started I think Doyle would have had the chance that his hard work deserved. Instead Doyle was totally isolated by a lacklustre Kitson performance. ALL of our chances came after Kebe came on...

Our entire season is summed up by this next sentence.

'Stephen Hunt is our player of the season'

Come on AP. Let's try to be positive. What's the point of bringing everyone down when they feel like cr*p anyway?

Went to the game yesterday.
We seriously need to look in depth at the Attack and Defense.

First the Goalkeeper.

For the first goal where on earth was USA standing.Half way out, half way in.
Bring in Fedders.

Secondly.
Murty is awfully slow and you could see that again GA yesterday.
Cisse and Sonko were bad.
Shorey always does the same pass and because of that we get caught out.

Oster was plain awful.Kebe show more in 30 mins than Oster has this season.
Kitson and Hunt kept on switching. Why?
You need Dave Kitson in the box to at least score.
Mind you nobody was in the box when we got the service in.
Harper and Marek ok.

There needs to be some changes.

Ivar in for Cisse
Rosinier in for Murty
Fedders in for USA
Kebe in for Oster
Lita in for Doyle

Maybe give Fae and Dubbery a chance.
Why spend 2.5m on a player and keep him out of the 11 and even the 16.

We can win games when we play to our best.
For the 1st 20 mins yesterday we played well.

Middlesborugh is a must win game.

I assume these players are in the reserves because the 'first teamers' played a full premiership match yesterday.
Also i guess Coppell asked for a almost full strength reserves so he can assess his options in a game against players who our players dont play against everyweek and know all their movement etc. I assume Coppell will be in the stands watching and the players will be fully aware of the comments made yesterday about changes, a big performance tonight could convince coppell to play them on sat.

Only question....where is Fae???

Spud I thought kitson had a complete shocker today, he looked lethargic and dis interested , lost count of times Doyle had ball and was looking foe someone and he was ambling along behind him. If Kits has given up then we are totally fecked.

Villa's back 4 were just superb, doing what they had to in order to keep the ball out of their area. Doyle I thought looked fine but had no support when he found himself in loads of space several times - where was Kits?

Murty was awful, not just the fact that he is so slow now, but the fact he is the Captain. He should have been shouting encouragement to the players but he was silent, not a whisper, time to give it to someone with passion.

Great minds.....

I was thinking exactly the same after the game. Kitson was all set for my vote till he went off the boil following the cort appearance - and that left me with Hunt....

Serious LOL that John Halls is playing CM and there is no sign of Fae tonight.

Emerse Fae = the worst value for money signing in RFC history.
2nd Evers.
3rd Halford
4th Bennett
5th Halls

Looks to me like he will definitely be going (probably back to France) at the end of the season - if he cannot even make the reserves.

Actually Halford was a fine short-term investment. Like a high-risk junk bond. :P

their defensive set-up was very similar to Bolton's. Big strong centre-backs heading vitually every ball lofted in their direction (or just being first to the rebound if Kitson won one) and just sticking close enough to Hunt to make sure he couldn't get a cross in. Other than that, they didn't need to do much.

But Coppell just does not play Fae so why bother signing him in the first place. He was tracked for ages so if he isn't up to it whoever scouted him should be shot.
