Archie's penalty
Wycombe Royal
The Surgeon of Crowthorne I wouldn't expect too many changes from yesterday's starting line up given that the reserves' line up for tonight's game

I would say the opposite with so many fringe first teamers in the line up - I think he is saying go out there and show me why you should be part of my "radical" changes for the next Premiership game.

I agree. If you look at the last couple of reserve games it seems Coppell has gradually been coming round to the realisation that he needs to change things. Hopefully he has realised just in time...

... its not too late for these kind of changes. Feds needs to play, Murts needs to be dropped and then get Kebe playing from start. We should destruct a rather good Boro side, that lack power and presence of Viduka and Yakubu. URZZZZZZ

Ok, i like the look of that team you've written Focher but are you sure that Bikey and Doobs are capable of sorting out the defensive problem? And will that midfield dominate? Will Lita transform reserve form to league form? I do hope so

i dont think the defensive problem can get any worse, and no the midfield wont dominate because we have nobody capable of, and Lita must surely pose more threat than Doyle at the moment.

The one that has annoyed me this season is his reluctance to use De La Cruz. When given a rare opportunity he has let nobody down, yet didn't even get in yesterdays squad, or many other squads.

Coppell i dare say has made a rights pigs ear of the last 3 months, lets hope he can make up for it by making some bold decisions and getting out of this.

Like the look of that one. Not sure Doobs will make saturday though, otherwise he'd probably have played 45mins at least tonight.

The Surgeon of Crowthorne I wouldn't expect too many changes from yesterday's starting line up given that the reserves' line up for tonight's game is this:
Adam Federici
Liam Rosenior
Ulises De La Cruz
Jem Karacan
Andre Bikey
Alan Bennett
Jimmy Kebe
Leroy Lita
Shane Long
John Halls
Oliver Bozanic

Subs:
Scott Golbourne
Alex McCarthy
Julian Kelly
Tom Hateley
Viktor Illugason

i would suggest that given the current state of play all of those, including john halls could get a game vs boro if they play a blinder tonight
personally love to see karacan get a go, but it is probably too early.

maybe dela and rosenior on the right
lita up front
bikey in at the back

thats what id do, from the fifa 2007 school of football management

I think we should be negative and cynical and go for the point at Boro. Don't think USA has played badly recently apart from his kicking - I'd keep him in. I don't think Murty was any worse than Shorey on Saturday but I'm concerned about his lack of pace against Boro so maybe Rosenior is a better option. Sonko and Cisse doesn't work as a partnership so one (both?) has to go. The midfield is toothless and largely the reason why the defence is under so much pressure, and has been all season. Have we tried Bikey as an anchorman in a 5-man midfield? I think it might work. Up front, Doyle is a shadow of his former self and Kitson has been hugely disappointing recently, neither of them seem to be in the danger area when they should be. I'd drop both of them to the bench and put Lita up front as a lone striker, supported by Matejovsky. So.

USA

Rosenoir
Ivar
Sonko/Cisse
Shorey

Kebe
Harper
Bikey
Matejovsky
Hunt

Lita

Subs:
Fed
Kitson
Doyle
DLC
Fae

cmonurz You would keep Cisse because he is better than Sonko, even though we have Bikey and Ingimarsson in reserve. Right.

I said in my first post if you can't remember, that I would play Ingy. Fair enough Bikey is an option, but I wouldn't say that in this moment and time Bikey much better than Cisse. Cisse did'nt have the greatest game yest, however previous games he has done well. Bikey, yes he is gradually getting better, but he is still capable of f*cking up. Cisse and Ingy or Bikey and Ingy, or even Bikey and Cisse. Im happy as long as Sonks has a rest.

Platypuss
Archie's penalty
Sonko is suspended...

I thought a suspension for five yellows kicks in on the 7th day after - he would therefore be free to play on Saturday.

Where's this Sonko being suspended come from? According to soccerbase and the official website that was his first booking of the season.

Alan Partridge Thoughts?

Hahners
Rosers
Shorers
Dubers
Bikers
Kebers
Maters
Cissers
Hunters
Longers
Liters

Kitsers
Doylers
Fedders
Sonkers
Harpers

I have just been considering what changes Coppell needs to make whilst reading another thread - my feeling is he needs to make it feel like a whole new competition / mini-league on Saturday and will best achieve this by playing almost a new team. I hadn't actually read this thread (and have only read the opening post now) but oddly the selection above is EXACTLY what I had in mind. Except I want De La Cruz to be found a place....

Would be for Shorers I presume.

De La is another Chris Makin, rarely let the team down on his few appearances in either full back position.

I like DLC, just for that goal v the Blades was enough.

I wouldn't mind seeing Shorey pushed forward to the left midfield spot with Hunt shifting over to the right again where he had a good spell earlier in the season.

We can't go without Shorey's left foot but having De La Cruz sat behind him might make us a little bit more solid at the back.

We have to play a system that promotes the key individuals that could bring about a change in our season

so I'd go for

Hahnemann

rosenior, Duberry, Ingimarrson, Shorey

Kebe Bikey Marek Cisse Hunt

lita

Difficult tio drop Kitson - he is my favorite player - but I think producing a team that allows Marek to weave his magic (and whats happened there - its almost as though he's been told to stop trying to do the killer pass). The team would be centred around Lita

Bikey has to play. Having Bikey and Cisse in midfield would free up Marek

I havent seen enough of our record signing to pass judgement on Fae.........

A good call.

I presume Lita would be in to provide the lethal finishing? (and no I am not joking!)
