Archie's penalty
Only one Trevor Morley We have to play a system that promotes the key individuals that could bring about a change in our season

so I'd go for

Hahnemann

rosenior, Duberry, Ingimarrson, Shorey

Kebe Bikey Marek Cisse Hunt

lita

Difficult tio drop Kitson - he is my favorite player - but I think producing a team that allows Marek to weave his magic (and whats happened there - its almost as though he's been told to stop trying to do the killer pass). The team would be centred around Lita

Bikey has to play. Having Bikey and Cisse in midfield would free up Marek

I havent seen enough of our record signing to pass judgement on Fae.........

A good call.

I presume Lita would be in to provide the lethal finishing? (and no I am not joking!)

Lita is there becuase he is our only poacher. Ultimately I'm looking for a system that might last for 11 games. Lita is the sort of striker who has goalscoring runs so I'm trying to think of a system which would kick start that process.

The system would free up Kebe, Marek and Hunt to provide

I think the time has come for changes.

Fed in goal - USA is a great shot stopper but his distribution is very poor and this is vital in the PL. Fed has done well when called on and his distribution is always first class. Give him a chance.
Murty - has been great for us but time to freshen it up with DLC or Rosenior - both of whom have been patient and deserve a chance.
Centre backs - I would bring back Ingi and Bikey. Ingi has been getting back to his best and Bikey was outstanding early season - this partnership looks promising to me. Sonko is good with his head but cannot tackle and that is not good enough for the PL
Shorey - Defensively suspect at the moment but I would keep - simply because he does create most of our chances
Kebe - Give him a start - let's see if he can make anything happen
Cisse - I would move Cisse back to CM as the holding midfielder - he is quick and can tackle
Matejovsky - I would put him in CM as the creative player and sadly drop Harper. Harper was good with Sidwell but I cannot see that he can play with anyone BUT Sidwell as he is neither an out an out attacking or defensive midfielder - time to give another partnership a go
Hunt - on the left - player of season so far
Kitson - keep in as he still looks our most potent goal threat (but he has gone off the boil since his court case and not being picked for England)
Lita - Think Doyle is great for us but we simply have to give Lita a chance as Doyle seems to be lacking confidence - may do better off the bench

TBH I remember Oster playing quite well in central midfield for maybe one half at the start of the season.

Shame no-one else has really played there all season.

Nope. Oster has the technical ability, don't think he's suited to the wing role anymore, he has the ability to unlock defences. Bryn appears to still be injured, Fae is shite and Coppell won't throw in Karacan despite his ability.

Archie's penalty
The Surgeon of Crowthorne I wouldn't expect too many changes from yesterday's starting line up given that the reserves' line up for tonight's game is this:
Adam Federici
Liam Rosenior
Ulises De La Cruz
Jem Karacan
Andre Bikey
Alan Bennett
Jimmy Kebe
Leroy Lita
Shane Long
John Halls
Oliver Bozanic

Subs:
Scott Golbourne
Alex McCarthy
Julian Kelly
Tom Hateley
Viktor Illugason

Yes but they are playing monday. That gives them plenty of time to recover for saturday. Coppell will presumably be watching this reserve game VERY closely...

Currently 1-up on the leaders - Long with the goal.

ROSENIOR BIKEY SONKO SHOREY

KEBE GUNNAR MAREK HUNT

LITA KITSON

Even though this team will neve happen due to the amount of changes!!

I think LITA will save this team from relegation, if given a run he will score goals!!

Threats on the OS that Sir Steve is considering wholesale changes can no longer be seen as an idle threat, we are now in serious trouble and these changes have to be made, no more time for sentiment or loyalty things have to change now, ok so we ignore the transfer windows but its time for an eleven who will not only show effort, but integrity and sharpness as well, this shambolic defense has to be sorted, but where and how god knows ! we need pace and strength at the back and a bit of guile in the midfield.
Marcus----------not really done a lot wrong
Rosenior--------need some natural pace to counteract downing
Bikey------------Strength and pace
Duberry (Capt)-Been there, seen it before, big man, big voice, we bought him for his experience....... now show it
Shorey-----------Nobody else !
Kebe-------------Raw but pace and will put pressure on 'boro defense
Harper-----------Will go 100%
Marek----------- Must keep with him he has the passes and is accurate
Hunt-------------just a normal Hunty game will do
Kitson-----------The best and probably only outlet we have for a goal at the moment
Lita--------------He rekons he is good then bloody well go out and show it

Subs
Federici---------His time will come, probably not at Reading though
Ingi-------------Can cover back 4 or tighten up midfield if we are in with a chance of a win late on
Convey---------If needed finally prove you are a premiership player
Fae-------------There has got to be more to him than we have seen
Doyle-----------Should have been in the reserves tonight, he aint gonna start scoring in the first team, needed a reserve.

Thats five changes from the Villa shambles and the players brought in have all got points to prove, so go on Sir Steve be true to your word and have the balls to drop the "favourites" who have put us in this position !

Karacan, because he's the only central midfielder I can think of and he's been playing well in reserves by all accounts. Good experience and a cameo would help his future no end.

Thats 4 changes, and I'm really not sure dropping Murty or Oster for Kebe is a good idea.

I like this idea, 5 across the middle addresses the problem, though it may not work, also means that the full backs, who have been exposed when they have come forward can stay back, so should be better defensively.
