Will Coppell change it?

Lita would have a better chance of playing if he changed his attitude and grew up.

To be honest, If I was in his position , I'd be fairly pissed off too.

Coppell is putting his personal matters with Lita, ahead of what is best for the team, which, quite frankly in this day and age of Premiership football, is pathetic. Footballers have ego's nowaday's, something Coppell doesn't seem to be able to grasp. Lita is a very good footballer, and on that alone, should start, regardless of whether or not Coppell likes him as a person.

Nobody has mentioned about whether Lita is a team player.
Doyle is a great chaser of lost causes and as a trier you can see why the manager might want to pick him ahead of Lita.
He is also better in the air.

In that earlier long post I saw players like Frederici and Rosenior as being "superb"-that's a bit over the top isn't it?
The idea of playing Fed ahead of Marcus in an important relegation clash is a no-brainer in my view,remember the games v Liverpool and Man Utd.
As for Rosenior having seen him a few times for Fulham and Bristol City as well as for us I think he is a player with no definite position.
He is not strong enough in the tackle or defensively aware for a full-back.
He does not have the flair or good enough crossing ability for a right-sided midfielder/winger.
He is quick and I feel that wing-back is his only position and we never play with a back three so we don't need a wing-back.
Only a few hours before we know the starting line-up and many on here will be as disappointed as Lita probably will be.

But at the moment, that's all Doyle is, all huff, and no puff. Lita has that little bit of quality that we so desperately need right now. And if we are talking about effort, Kitson had absolutely none on Sunday, he looked like he couldn't be bothered, but I don't people having a go at him for that.

On your second point, Lita is pretty good in the air, I wouldn't say any worse then Doyle, and he also has a fantastic leap.

At the moment we dont need triers, well we do, i mean at the moment all doyle contributes is alot of running, he is not a goal threat at all, his confidence is rock bottom. Lita will cut off alot of the running into wings etc, but wil concetrat more in the center forwards positions. Lita i feel often is sharper in the box, if there is a lose ball he will pounce on it, he is a goal scorer at the end of the day.
I also actually also think Lita is at least as good as doyle in the air, he is certainly more powerful than doyle and has a great leap, tending to hang in the air.

When i described rosenior and Fed as superb, i did not mean they will be superb in the premiership, but whenever they have played, they have been superb, Fed in the cups has pulled off save after save and rarely drops anything, also rosenior played very well against spurs. They have played out of their skin and deserve a chance, they could be good they could be dump we dont know becuase they havent played, they certainly cant do worse than some of the recent performances. I agree with you about USA though, in the last few games he has been one of our better players, often keeping us in games. would be stupid to drop him now.

Oh dear

Even I think Lita, as the only striker to have scored a goal this year, deserved to start today .

And, after one bad game, Cisse gets replaced by Ingimarrsson who has had more poor games this season than I can remember. Just like fellow defenders Murty and Shorey, he gets picked for the next match even when they've let in seven.

I like Ingimarrson and all that he's done for us, but our future, in this division or the one below, should not invlove a slow defender with the turning circle of an oil tanker.

Whether we survive or fall through the trap door, when will our manager finally accept that his team needs to be re-built with younger legs?
