as the garrison boys netted six away from home....only a matter of time...could they be the only treble winners this season?

Poor result, but Torquay totally dominated the game from start to finish, they never killed the game off and it took 1 mistake from Mark Ellis to gift them a point with their only shot of the match.

There is a hell of a long way to go yet, both of the top teams have horrendous fixture congestion over the next month, Aldershot even more so as they are still in the Setnata Shield.

Torquay still have a game in hand and aldershot to play next monday, few twists and turns to go yet.

Shots win and Torquay lose - 8 point gap now.

There'll be dancing in the streets of Frimley tonight.

I went to the Torquay game today and they were awful to be honest.

Monday is make or break time, the 8 points COULD be whittled down to 2 very quickly, if aldershot don't lose on Monday then it will be extremely difficult for Torquay to catch them.

But it sin't over just yet.

Aldershot did well today especially after going behind early, Torquay were really poor today and as i say above, if aldershot don't lose on Monday then I think they'll be home and dry.

Torquay HAVe to win if they want to win the league. IF they do win, they'll be 5 behind with Droylsden as the game in hand, so every chance of being just 2 behind.

But Id' MUCH rather be in Alderhsot's position of having the points on the board.

As a side note Mikkel andersen (from Ding) isn't that good tbh. Can't see him staying on with Reading.

i am sure that turkey will not give up the fight..it may go down to the wire..the important thing for football is that the struggle at the top has proved(so far) that teams relegated from the football league are no longer certs to bounce back: i still contend that the conference is still the most difficult to break out of given the "cert" one up and the other via a play off...cometh the hour....

What faults has he got?

Maidenhead lose 3-2 at Eastleigh and the reverse fixture is next Saturday for some strange reason.

He's far too quiet, for someone his height he stays rooted to his line too often. Could argue he was at fualt for both goals today, defo the 1st one for me.

Just didn't seem that good, when you throw into the equation one or two thinking Martin Rice should be playing sort of sums it up.

Torquay need a steady proven keeper right now, and without doubt it's been a reason why they haven't been able to push on at times. Having young loanees or Rice in goal has been the major proble,.
