Slightly harsh IMO - last year's game at Anfield sold out extremely quickly so there would have been a lot of people who wouldn't necessarily got tickets then (but still went to quite a few other away games last year) who would have made this season's game a priority.

Arsenal can't reduce the allocation at Ashburton, it has a fixed size away end. In the case of teams like Chelsea, Utd, Liverpool and a lot of others they have temporary segregation which allows them to increase or decrease the away tickets accordingly. So RFC don't want to take a punt on how many we would sell and up forking out themselves for unsold tickets, more Liverpool fans get a ticket option in the Anfield Rd end which would have been part of our area.

I'm sure i've seen them move the rails at Ashburton. IIRC Blackburn's (and a couple of others) allocation was half the size compared to some of the other teams.

That is shocking from the club and I'd hope they'd see how quickly the Liverpool game has sold out and go back for more tickets. IIRC, last year's Arsenal game sold out on the second day of selling (at 541 points and above) so it'll be the same as with Liverpool...

I was intending on going to Arsenal last year but it sold out early on the first day. I'd hope this year they'd go for the full allocation particularly if we manage to pick up points at Newcastle and Fulham.

I was quite surprised how poor the view was. I was 20 rows back and could barely see over the crossbar. An amazingly pokey concourse too, especially when you consider how much space the site had. I can only hope the bulk of the £430 million cost went on making the top two tiers amazing as padded seats apart, it's a poor ground for those stuck in the lower tier.

Oh, btw, anyone considering standing and singing at Anfield should expect a fair amount of abuse from those at the back, where anyone forced to stand won't be able to see the far goal due to the extremely low overhang of the top tier

I've stood at the back at Anfield before, tbh it's like looking through a letterbox or (Soho peep show - only £2 a peep) when stood up, BUT i'd happily accept that if the 1,700 stood and sung there hearts out!! 8)

Restricted view tickets at the back due to the low overhang of the upper tier, but these are the same price as the other tickets.

I'm row 33. I questioned the guy in the ticket office as I was a bit dubious. He assured me my seat was ok as the restricted view seats had been "put to one side".
