Royal Rother Often removing a bad apple is the best way of preserving the excellence of the rest of the crop.

Indeed. But doing it outside the Prem transfer window is probably not the time to do it though.

Maybe he tried to do something in January but was unsuccessful. Maybe....

Agreed but if something has occured since that time that could see the need for the bad apple to be removed for a while then it may be the only course of action even if it is not ideal.

The problem with Lita is his ego is to big for his boots.

Saw him against Bolton - He was rubbish, only interest in having a go at their keeper. I would suggest Coppell has been waiting for him to grow-up, but has had enough of his winging. He doesn't seem to be a team player, to him he is the team. As a manager, and perhaps a person I would imagine this would get right up your nose!

Blue and White Toucan He gave away a freekick against Bolton for the first goal because of his attitude.

Are the rest of your opinions based on facts as accurate as this?

LOL apart from it was Matejovsky who gave the free kick away, Lita was arguing with their keeper over something, booted forward, Harper didn't track Nolan who tapped it in. But of course it was Lita's fault because he wears silver boots and acts a bit of a tit.

Just what is Coppell on?!!!

If we now go down I will very definitely (and as far as I'm concerned justifiably) be shouting for his head on a spike!

Strengthen the squad this season?? My *rse!

I read on another thread that a lot of you are heavily critical of Thou Voice's comments ("Today's Balding Idiot Comments") and yet those of you that feel that Coppell has got this terribly wrong are actually in agreement with many of Thou Voice's sentiments on that thread. (Perhaps it's the way he expressed them that has caused the revulsion?)

I find it hilarious that people keep on slating his attitude.

WD and KD have both said recently he has a good attitude and is trying hard in training.

LL has proven he is willing to contribute positively to the reserves.

The players like him "do it for Leroy" t shirts when he broke his leg.

Liam R said one of the reasons moving here is because of LL and how highly he talked about the club. He behaved well abroad, was top scorer and in the team of the tournament for Eng u21. He hasn’t “officially” handed in a transfer request, which shows hes willing to stay and fight for his place. Never once come out and slated SC, which I reckon many other, modern day footballers would have done if they had been in LL situation.

One other thing, does anyone here honestly believe if given equal opportunities (same calibre of opposition and a run in the team) SL would outscore Lita?

I certainly don’t.

Gordons Cumming A load of tossers with short memories.

Considering what SC has done for this club why don't you trust him with these decisions?

Even a hero can go mad!

And the way SC is behaving at present, I'm beginning to question his sanity let alone his decisions!

We are in a relegation zone and intend to try to fight our way out of it with just two strikers who have proven themselves in the PL!

Yes he did.

He was quite critical of the way he was treated and the comments Coppell had made about him after (I think) the Spurs cup game at WHL.

Archie's penalty Look at all the STG's crawling out of the closet after the hamlet cigar moment of saturday and onwards

Fwiw I'm a little disappointed. I do think Kebe could do a job up front for us though.

Have you seen Kebe try to head the ball?!!

Time for the men in white coats to call around for SC I'm afraid!

Gordons Cumming Lita is a prima donna.

Good riddance I say.

And Coppell is beginning to look a fool.

Good riddance is what I shall say if his folly takes us down!

Lita certainly wanted to set the record straight about how his comments about playing v Spurs were mis-reported. Don't think they'd qualify as a "slating" though.

Unless you work for the NOTW.

Nice Post,

I may get shouted for this as I haven't read all the posts. Just seen the news and am as bemused as most of you.
Don't suppose theres any chance of the fans showing some appreciation for Lita on saturaday, get his song going a few times.
It really makes no sense we haven't bought an out an out striker for two years, SC sells one and then freezes Lita out.

For a player to come out and totally dispute his manager comments about giving him a chance, and then to say he'd be looking for a move if he could get one, constitutes a slating these days because they're all so careful about what they say.

I don't think you could deny he was having a pop at his manager in public.
