Long would do well to practice his first touch as it would make him such a better player.

howser This is a difficult one, we know that Liverpool will play with Torres on the last mans shoulder and he is quick, so do we play 5 at the back ? I know its never really worked but I am not sure that Ingi will be able to cope with Torres pace, would also put Kits in as he is good at defensive set pieces, so risking much critisism:-

USA
Cisse
Rosenior Ingi Bikey Shorey
Marek Harper Hunt
Kitson Doyle

Subs:-
Federici
Sonko
Oster
Long
Kebe

Ditto, apart from playing CIsse in front of the back four - man-marking Gerrard. Expect this but Long getting the nod ahead of Kits.

PS did you notice the photo on the official site of the backs of Long and Ball.. witty guys!!

I'd bring Kitson in for Long to give us some height up front but otherwise an unchanged side. Oster always seems to pull out a decent performance against them.

It doesn't matter which team we put out we'll lose anyway.

Liverpool, and Torres especially, are back on form.

We will do well to concede less than 2.

I can't see us looking to not keep a clean sheet.

cmonurz Kitson for long for me, simply because of the size of Hyppia, Skrtel, Carragher, Agger or whoever plays centre-back. We won't have enough of the ball to run it, if we get anything from this game it will have to be ugly, and that means a big man up front.
Probably Doyle on the wing then to accomodate him.

Same team.

Pace along the grass is what we need to take on Hyypia and Carragher - MM's through balls will be the deciding factor as he is now developing an understanding of what movements Doyle and Long are likely to make in and around the penalty area. 2-1 Reading.
