Well done Aldershot. Almost certainly up. I really do fear for The Gulls in the play-offs now. Their season is starting to go to pot.

Re: Floyd's post about the Shots crowds. 3k is a very decent crowd for a non-league game, top of the table or not. Reading, and we are a similar sized club historically, struggled to get over 4k when McGhee's team were taking all and sundry apart in 1993. I remember playing Hull in a top-of-the-table clash and little more than 5k turning up (including a good 800+ from Hull). For small clubs, the fanbase will remain stubbornly limited, regardless of how well you're doing.

Yesterday was the latest poor result from a Torquay view, since the 3rd the intention has been to sew up a playoff place, still on course but 3 defeats in a row is bitterly disappointing. Can make excuses (some more valid than others) but Aldershot have been consistently the best team in the divison and are rightly miles adrift of the chasing pack.

There's still lots to play for, got the Trophy second leg on saturday and then we MUST start getting some points towards the end of this month. Stafford, FGR and Altrincham only 7-9 points is acceptable from these 3 games.

April is an absolutely WRETCHED month for Torquay, there is an enormous amount of travel and a spell of FOUR games in 7 days, ludicrous. Setanta and the fixture list haven't done us many favours this season at all but that's what you get for being a slightly bigger attraction i suppose ;)

Torquay have had a great season regardless of what happens, the football club as a whole (inc playing staff) is completely different to what it was a year ago when they were an utter joke. The expectation levels were fairly low at the start (far less than Oxford's 'on loan to the conference' statements) and it was risen after a great start, little bit of reality is hitting home at the minute.

the garrison boys have ninety minutes to seal a cup final appearance at the new wembley...it may be an uphill struggle..but hey, should they triumph,(who said on your bike?)..they will beat a legion of more famous names in the football world with regard to "been there, done it"...

Still can't see your point.

LOL Has Wembley changed then? Does it suddenly not count because all though the exact venue location hasn't changed there are a few new seats?

All football records before 2007 have now been chalked off.

knowing handbags it will be some obsure tournament no one has ever heard of and played in front of about 20 people bit like the Setanta Shield.

Poor show from The Stoke at the Camrose yesterday, but a cracking game.

2-0 up after 20 minutes and then played most of the second half against 10 men after Braintree's thug of a centre half got a second yellow. But two excellent individual goals from the Braintree number 6 got them a point late on. Excellent entertainment.
