SpaceCruiser I thought Oster did well yesterday, despite the odd mistake. He took the free kicks quite well, so you can't really complain about him.
Yesterday, I thought Bikey was awesome, but I watched MOTD today, the goal we conceded was the fault of both Inigmarsson and Bikey. Ingimarsson allowed himself to be beat and Bikey allowed his marker to get to the ball before him.
Still, a win is a win and I think we'll be ok. Oster is good enough for now.

Man Friday I've read some boll*x on here over the years but this is taking it to the extremes of the universe. Class player. Vision. Too good for his teammates. Even putting him in the same category as Matty. I didn't boo Oster and never will but where was the "vision" when in the first half he was running through on goal and had at least 2 teammates to thread the ball through too? Where was the "class" in the second half when he had the whole goal in front of him and skied it over the goal because of poor technique. Class player my absolute ar*e. Yes he made a few decent crosses - almost made up for the carp ones. Can't even be trusted to take corners and free kicks. Played o.k.? Possibly. But is that really good enough? Just because we won don't let's cloud another unsatisfactory performance from "the player who's too good for his teammates". I've never heard so much drivel.

brendywendy agree with alot of whats been said about the oyster on this page
he played well, set up another goal, contributed more-in terms of end product, and equal in terms of work ethic than hunt did IMHO
getting better every game-not perfect, but no one was yesterday
will never be as good as blakey, but id rather have oster than seol, and i never thought id say that.
ill be cheering him double loud to make up for the booing morons

brighton_royal I'll never boo a Reading player but the simple fact remains that Oyster is our weakest regular midfielder and deserves to be replaced asap.

Man Friday ok folks, I'm now backing out of this particular debate. I can see that I'm clashing with people who I normally agree with and I don't want to fall out with these good people! Oster did ok yesterday and my criticisms might have been a tad harsh but, (and this is no excuse I know for a fully grown man) they were a(n over-)reaction to the comments that, effectively, Oster is too good for his teammates as in they're not good enoughto cope with his vision and read his amazingly penetrating passes. I just felt I couldn't allow these absolutely ridiculous comments to go unchallenged. Anyway, good luck Johnny O, here's to you getting better and better every week and helping Reading stay up.
