Ideal
Royal Rother Nugent might not have the same poacher's instinct that Lita has displayed in the past, but he is no slouch and is a genuine hard working player; at this stage of their careers I would think Nugent is more likely to "train on" (to use horse racing parlance) than Lita.

I agree, I'd love it if we sold Lita and signed Nugent.

Lita is a class striker when compared to Nugent - he needs a kind of Harry Redknap svengali figure to bring the best out of him.

Nugent can't cut it at the top table.

Do not forget Lita's goal vs Middlesbrough. WE ARE A PREMIERSHIP CLUB.

"Lita is a class striker"?
No,Torres is a class striker
Berbatov is a class striker
Adebayor is a class striker.
Owen is a class striker

Lita is a hit-and-miss striker who may well not be up to Premiership football having scored a few goals in a top 8 side but none in a bottom 6 side.

Oh what a terrific piece of business that would be!!

Nugent?

Has made far less of an impact than Lita at this level. Might be worth having on the bench if we are in the Championship though!!

The spot couldn't really be any more on.

Lita only makes an impact when he falls over.

Sometimes he makes a good impression too - especially if the ground is soft.

I had hoped we'd have moved past the Lita threads.

This season, he came, he stretched and he was injured.

His loan period expires soon.
He should be back to face King Kev's magpies. Glen is targeting that game as well.
What an awesome paring that could be! :P

Yep, our best winger and our 4th choice striker, who currently can't buy a goal in the Championship.

Time to check our passports are in order, I feel a European tour is just around the corner.

Here's an, on balance, rather favourable review of Lita from a Charlton board. They want him to stay.

(They don't seem to be as positive about Pardew.)

Leroy is a natural finisher and will always get you goals at what ever level he plays at, but that attitude of his stinks. Kussing his lips at fans that want his autograph, pub brawls, giving it the big I am all the time. Grow the hell up and enjoy the career you've been blessed with.

Poor choice of cliches there if I may say so.

So far he hasn't scored a single League goal at what ever level he has played this season!

I think he's awful and doesn't look like he wants to be playing for us !!, give me Varney (if/when fit) anyday over him.

Well done for finding about the only one negative post on there.

Interesting that many of the posters on the Charlton site make the same points that are frequently made on here - that it's not the strikers who are the problem, but the lack of service to them. Also one good insight that we may want Lita back now that the loan has served the purpose of giving him competitive games under his belt.

Will he be return for the final run-in, or will he be left in the cold as far as RFC are concerned?

Maybe Paul Jewell will buy him. They seem to have shared tastes.

Hopefully he will be kept because, for me, he has more potential than any of the others. I very much doubt SC wants him back however. Is there any link between our upturn in form and Leroy going on loan????
