I do still keep an eye out for Southend United's results as it's where I was born & were the first team I saw play. I haven't been to Roots Hall though since about 1990. It was through following Southend that I saw my first Royals match, 3-3 (I think) at Elm Park, can't remember the year, but sometime in the mid 90s.

There's something wrong when one person follows more than one club.

What? Should all those who live outside of Reading for example shun any other live football? Is it wrong of me to take a passing interest in discussions relating to clubs other than Reading?

Thaumagurist- get yourself to a lower league game sometime, you might learn something.

Not only that, it keeps football alive at the lowel levels.

Going along once a month, paying for a ticket/pint/pie keeps the club alive
