Thaumagurist*
Fezza Is there any link between our upturn in form and Leroy going on loan????

Mr Royal "I am so massively intelligent" Rother will be desperate to say yes to your question, but I will say no it's not. I would link our upturn in fortunes to the changing of players in our defensive line up as well as Shorey's goal against Villa in the last minute renewing our confidence in front of goal.

You'd have to be a little bit naive or incredibly defensive of our players to think that his departure hasn't had some effect.

ESPECIALLY given that the world had ended the day he went on loan.

Thaumagurist* He wasn't even in the team on a regular basis, so how can his departure affect the upturn?

not my opinion but perhaps he means by removing a negative influence from the dressing room

I suspect that's what RR was thinking so pompously but how can you know the full facts when nobody but the players and the manager knows what happens in the dressing room?

indeed, the only quotes from anyone at the club on the matter say he just gets on with it, gets his head down, trains hard etc etc

Well, if you were looking to sell him, you would hardly say to potential buyers - "He is a lazy git who has a world-class talent for falling over backwards, is a disruptive influence in the dressing room, and thinks he is God's gift to women and football" would you. No, you would say something like "He is a talented player who gets his head down and works hard in training".

Caveat emptor!"

the quotes were before anyone wanted to sell though, just after one of his "evening incidents"

Which means paying his wages only to kick one of our aready adequate options off the bench. Not so simple

But would you expect them to say anything else - even if the circumstances were quite different?

I don't really make much assumptions when it comes to Reading FC. Unlike a certain somebody who came on here and started telling us stories about Martin Allen.

Fine form today, fine form!!

Coppelled Streets Leroy is a natural finisher and will always get you goals at what ever level he plays at, but that attitude of his stinks. Kussing his lips at fans that want his autograph, pub brawls, giving it the big I am all the time. Grow the hell up and enjoy the career you've been blessed with.

Is this a true statement that can be backed up with evidence, or just a presumption ?

One hell of a lot less than he was worth at a time closer to his England U21 days. Lucky to get £1.5m I'd say.
