Blackburn Prediction Thread

by Blue and White Toucan » 27 Mar 2008 10:32

OK not seen it yet so here goes....

Squeaky game this as we could really do with another win and Blackburn also need a win. They have plenty of good players that make it a close one to call.

A draw would be a good result TBH but at this stage we need more.

I will go with my heart on this and predict

Reading 2 - Blackburn 1

Doyle (at last) and Long

2-2 - a good game and an acceptable result!

They were deserved winners at the Mad Stad last season after we failed to show up for the second half. Given our respective league placings at the moment and the thorough tonking we got at theirs earlier this season, I think a draw would be good result.

Samba is suspended so I fancy us to score 1v1.

Royals 1 Rovers 3

Doyle puts us ahead in the first 5 minutes and we sit back on our lead. Rovers equalise just before half time and go ahead immediately after the break. Forced to chase the game we are exposed at the back and concede a third 10 minutes from the end.

Bolton pick up a shock win at home to Arsenal. Three points also picked up by Fulham away at Derby with the Makems and Brum also winning at home to the Hammers and City respectively.

Reading travel to a rejuvenated Toon just two points clear of the drop and needing a result.

1-1 and I would be most satisfied. But I think we might just do it and win 2-1.

I'm going for a 2-1 win...
Shorey free kick, Santa Cruz equalises and then Harper rockets one in the top corner in the last minute URRRRZZZZ

I'd be happy with a draw but I really believe we will win this.

You're not feeling too optimistic then!

2 - 2

Other teams around us *will* drop points.

I'll stick with the same positive type of prediction I've had for the last four games - we'll get torn to shreds 1 - 4. SC decides to bring in Sonko and Murty. With Kebe injured we have a bench lacking in attacking flair. Doyle injured after 10 minutes, Long hobbles off just after half time. We head to Newcastle with Kitson and a recalled Lita upfront.

Would be handy but the same thing was being said about Larsson this time last week. Didn't matter in the end but I'll be more comfortable when I see Blackburn's team sheet without him on it.

I'd take a point in this one to be fair.

I think that it depends on how Bentley plays, if he 'turns up' then we could struggle to contain him (much like last season!), the midweek trip may have taken a little bit out of him but probably not enough to effect him majorly.

1-1 I'd like with Doyle on the score sheet (he must be due one now!) but I fear the worst.

Reading 2 - 1 Blackburn
Bikey and Oster to score

I mean, Bikey scores two for us, and Oster scores one for Blackburn.
