I think "To the left, to the right, jump up and down and to the knees" would be a good reminder to play the ball down the left and right channels, jump for the header and drop to the knees as a goal celebration. I also believe there's some actions that go with the song which could be used as a kind of Hakka to intimidate the opposition and their supporters.

Guys, we're lucky as a club to have one of the all time greats of football chanting in our heritage. OK, I know it may not been quite in keeping with the zeitgeist, and even I balk a little at it's politically incorrect references to bygone mores, but it's strength is such we could revive it in a post-ironic coup for those that endured the 1980s football scene.

It scans. It's starting premise is a vivid affirmation of identity, and not just any identity, OUR identity. It mentions us by name. It then proceeds to mild threat, but in the era we find ourselvs, this will be widely interpreted by visting fans as nothing more than bluff bravado. A taunt rather than a threat. Impudence rather than violence. A sublime poetic statement of that which bonds us together.

The only tune I've seen suggested on HNA? that I could imagine actually becoming an anthem would be a bastardised version of the national anthem. God save our gracious team, send us victorious, God save the Royals etc.
