Alan Partridge Said it would be a lot clearer after today, and it certainly is. Reading are doomed.

Can't help but agree with you. I really want to believe we can get enough points from 3 winnable matches but I cannot see where the next goal is coming from. In the final third we look clueless.

Next week is huge.

I'm sure we've an excellent record when we've gone to Wigan needing a result.

Oh.

I would say that yes, the next three games look 'winable', or at least 4 points on offer (a point either away to Wigwam or at home to Spurs) but what worries me is that I can't see the next goal coming any time soon.

To get those wins obviously we need goals...if only we had saved from some of the Portsmouth/Spurs goals earlier in the season till now

Coppelled Streets
Avon Royal We're screwed.

Bottom three tomorrow.

Brum wont beat Villa, but we are going down. We are by far the weakest team in that bottom 4 fighting for survival.

I'm almost glad we could be relegated. I want to enjoy football again and although last season was special, the Premier League isn't fun. It's money mad.

What makes you confident that next year would be any better if we do get relegated - look at Watford who started strongly this season, or some of the other recently relegated teams. I can't see how Southampton fans could have enjoyed this season.

I cant see anything out of Wigan on their cabbage patch field

I worry about the Spurs game - because if the players were nervous for the game against Fulham, hence the result, then as the penultimate game of the season against a team far better equipped than Fulham, we may stumble

Derby- everyone is so confident this is 3 points in the bag- no way - Jewell has tole all his squad that until the end of the season they are playing for a place at the club - we dont travel well either

Im thinking, on current form, 2 points from those games - where that leaves us who knows, but as they say where you end up is where you deserve to end up over a season

......and i dont think our squad is good enough to compete effectively at premiership level =- we've bought sparce and cheap and in the end thats going to come back and haunt us

SwedeRoyal And of course, 1-0 to Bolton McCann. Lucky bastards...

Unlike our lot they seem to make their own luck and don't mess up in critical games.

They also tend to convert the chances that come their way.

I'm not and I haven't spoken to any Reading fan who is. Every non-Reading fan who I've spoken about our season with is, though. Natural pessimism or inside knowledge?

Sorry guys, having seen the last two weekends results and how the other teams around us are playing, we are don't really deserve to stay up!
Only 2 shots on target in two matches at this level is woeful, can't rember when Kitson/Doyole last had a decent shot on goal that's looked like troubling the oppostion keeper.

Both Bolton, Fulham & Wigan managed to have more shots on target than us again this weekend. Our defense is all over the place and the team selection's are making no sense what so ever (apart from Shorey being dropped as he has been dog slow recently).

Bolton have now got the bit between their teeth and will be safe by the time they play Chelsea, Fulham I think are now down and Birmingham seem to keep scraping results and don't concede many goals (def. think they'll get at least a point versus Villa tomorrow).

There's no passion in our team at the moment and looks as if too many players are already thinking about which Prem team they'll be switching to next season when we go down.

Can't see us getting a point next weekend at Wigan as they are looking good and also scrapping results, Spurs still look sharp and most of they're big names are still playing. Derby last game also looks doomed as they still are desperate for the points to avoid the lowest points total.

Come on URZ and proof me wrong - just feel let down and empty that not enough players are showing that they really wnat to win and avoid the drop, tactics today were so negative it was unbelievable this was the same Arsenal side that Birmingham drew against a couple of weeks ago, we never even looked as if we could muster a shot on goal let alone get a result!!!

I think we have made our own luck with a number of last ditch wins in games that could easily have gone the other way. We would be all but down without those last minute winners.
The other problem is that we are not converting our chances because we aren't making any and that is surely the biggest concern.

We're going to be undefeated for the rest of the season.
Birmingham won't get anything from Villa.
Derby, Birmingham and Fulham for the drop.

There, that feels better.

agreed, urzmikep.

Bolton have shown the balls to come from two crushing defeats to ten men and hauled themselves safe.

The players look like they want to stay up the midfield/defence challenge every ball going.

Between Reading and Birmingham for 17th which the latter will secure with results at Fulham and home to Blackburn, sending RFC into the Championship.

I think after the last few games we are now more likely to get points from all remaining games, if we can snatch vicroy at Wigan, they will be back in trouble as well, I really wish they had beaten Spurs.

Both team spirit and tactics seem to have gone. The only explanation for the team line up at Arsenal was to prepare for Wigan, and it failed. Coppell doesn't know his strongest team. We're down.
