Brum managed 2 draws against Arsenal and are not easy to beat on their own patch. Even though they got thrashed today, I still think they have better players than us and stand more of a chance of staying up, plus they have better goal difference.
We are still screwed.

RoyalBlue I suspect today's Birmingham result is only really prolonging a false hope for our own survival.
I really can't see us getting anything at all from the game at the JJB as the PL have allowed Wigan to prepare a pitch that gives them an incredible home advantage. Who else gets to practise playing PL football on a cabbage patch every other week?!

Coppelled Streets LOL @ Birmingham.
There is hope that this shoddy Reading team can yet stay up.

Royal Yank Given the results today, the straw that I am clinging to is that Wigan will be satisfied with a point, which although not mathematical, will virtually see them safe. A 0-0 cautious bore draw is perhaps on the cards.
I think we'd take a point as well.

papereyes The thing is, if we can't beat Fulham, Bolton and Wigan, then what right do we have to say that we deserve to stay up.

We did still manage to beat Liverpool, and draw at Old Trafford...
