Surely Brum will win against Fulham (who will be doomed by that point)? Brum will also win against Blackburn I would think. Thats 6 pts.

Bolton will win against sunderland and might get a point at either Spurs or Chelsea (Chelsea will be on hols as are Spurs). so maybe 4 pooints for Bolton.

We will get nothing at Wigan but could win at home to Spurs (They will be on their hols, trouble is I dont think we have the quality like Bolton do to upset spurs). So we could get between 4 points and 6 with a win against Derby. Its in the balance and I just have this horrible feeling that Bolton and Brum have too much experince and quality and will just get more than us.

That Friday Feeling We are, without doubt, the worst side in the league on current form.

Including Derby.

Stevie Coppell bloody well better have a magic hat 'cause he's gonna need to pull some rabbits out in training this week.

One or two people are making the mistake (I believe) of assuming 3 points against Derby. There is no way this is a foregone conclusion. Yes, we could end up with 9 points but we could just as easily end up with 3 points in total (which almost certainly won't be enough with our goal difference) or even fewer. Got a feeling GD is going to mean what it says on the tin: goal difference.

Desperate or what!

by sucatraps » 21 Apr 2008 13:53

I keep finding myself thinking about how much Steve Bruce would like to see his former, backstabbing club go down? Surely more than the club of an old team-mate? Perhaps the Wigwam youth team deserve an end of season run out, come on SB you know it makes sense! :)

Then again, Steve Bruce doesn't like us very much.

Why not? Every true Reading fan knows that our history as a club only started in 2006.

Bruce has already stated that now they just need to beat Reading next week to ensure their survival. They will want to win. Just hope that we do more.

Which club would that be then? If you mean Reading then you are bang wrong, as Coppell and Bruce's MUFC careers weren't even close to overlapping with each other. Have another straw.

Lighten up Floyd, are you not familiar with the tongue in cheek mode of frivolity?

I voted for Fulham and Reading. Seems I am like many here who can;t see who managing to escape the drop. Shame, but thats football. If we do go down, then I will have enjoyed every minute of it, although I worry how long it will be before we return to the top tier of English football. Can't see the club splashing out lots of cash for an instant return.
