Since I've seen it on Match of the Day that evening, I couldn't agree more that it was a special goal. No doubt there are some of you on here who would prefer to see Ronaldo voted since you think our players are shit. Am I wrong?

I think he was unfortunate in being up against a 'trick' goal that people remember.
Marek's was a special and stunning strike that deserved to win to GotM, but there are a lot of strikes similar to that, as opposed to what was perhaps a moment of brilliant inventiveness (or just luck).

Nope. Just that there's always been more Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea fans in and around Reading, than Reading fans. At least, more people seem to wear the shirts of the respective clubs. And the same is true across the nation (though obviously with Reading being replaced by other teams), so when this happens, there is plenty more fans to vote for their team's goal, rather than an absolute thunderbolt from a little known player for a team narrowly avoiding the bottom 3.

I disagree, I think he's been one of our best players.. however thats not saying much, and of course the yellow card thing.
