Leeds' 15-point deduction upheld

The result of Leeds points deduction case will be decided by 5pm today, the arbitration panel have said.

If they are given all 15 points back, they will be promoted...as champions, meaning Doncaster and Carlisle's games on Saturday don't mean much.

Could this not have been sorted out earlier? Why let the other clubs play 45 games then oxf*rd up the whole system?

What do you think will happen, and how can this be avoided in the future?

Why couldn't this appeal have been done earlier in the season?

I imagine that they're not going to get the points back.

The appeal has been going on all season, it has just taken this long to go through all the different legal routes.

I will be very surprised if they get all 15 back but equally surprised if they get none...I reckon 5 pts, giving them a shot at auto promotion this weekend but a long one.

Surely they can't do anything points-wise now because of the effect it would have on everybody else at this stage of the season? Or something like that anyway, isn't that what the Premier League decided at Tevez-gate?

They are guaranteed a play-off spot already hence why I think they will get a few points back but not all of them. 5 pts would mean they'd only go up if they win and Doncaster, Carlise and Forest all lose.

I can't see any reason for them to get the points back but as Stranded has said, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided that 15 was inappropriate and the penalty should have been the 10 they would have got if they hadn't cheated the system
