cmonurz LOL @ not even having a Championship left-back.

Well we are capable of buying players in the summer. Despite what many say we did buy some last summer. They just weren't good enough. I don't like playing the who we should sign game, because I don't know anything about who is available, good and in the right price bracket. From our squad now, getting rid of some of the obvious ones, I think we can still knock together a pretty decent Championship side.

That is at least promising.

I just think the team is stale. I don't personally think the existing squad has a hope in hell of winning the Championship next season, should we be relegated, even with Swansea in it.

winchester_royal Im gonna be honest, part of me is looking forward to the championship, for several reasons:

1. Cheaper Tickets.........but thats an obvious one

2. We might be able to win a couple of games

3. We can rebuild a team, there are a number of exciting youngsters in the reserves at the moment, such as Henry, Pearce, Robson-Kanu, and Siggurdsson, if we can build them into the team, and add a couple of new signings then we could be straight back up

Team next season:

USA-Will be best keeper in championship

LR-His pace will make him unbeatable in that division
BK-We might not keep him, but God i hope we do.....too good for championship though
Pearce-Has apparently been quality for Norwich in the championship....lets give him a chance
Hunt-His work rate is invaluable, Shorey has to go, it seems pretty logical to me

Henry/Little-Little will not be able to play all the games next season.....Henry has great potential.....a mixture of the two please
Gunnar-Good player for Championship, we have missed him
Marek/New CM-Whether or not we will keep MM is debatable, if he has a good Euro 2008 then no we won't, and if that is the case then we need a new cm......time to sell harps
Convey/Robson-Kanu-Convey is quality at this level......R-K is another one with great promise

Lita-Loved him today......worked his socks off
Doyle-Scores goals in championship

LOL at Marek still being here!!

Take one team which breaks the Championship points record and finishes 8th. Add in one year, take out a couple of players and replace them and this team now looks like a mid-table Championship one! How did we do that?

If Reading get relegated I'll be extremely disappointed.

However, like you, it does present a lot of exciting opportunties. New players, some say more genuine football (rather than commercialism), new (well old) teams to play.

Plus, just look at the championship this season, amazingly close, wasn't it the top 10 all had a shot at promotion at one point?

The 17 Bus I for one hope that the club introduce better pricing around the ground, it has been seen that the better seats have always been sold out, while the worse areas are sold last, at Cardiff next season you can get a ST for £199 as an adult, granted it is a terrace, but IMHO RFC should really look at charging more for the popular areas and a lot less for the high corner sections, and those nearer pitch level.

I would pay £199 for a terrace st at RFC, if only.

How do you define the seats which aren't as good though?

You can't I don't think. The bowl design means everywhere has a good view. Sure some seats have a better view of the players and the in-depth action (some people want that), other seats are miles back from the pitch and you get an overall view of the game (some people want that), some seats are next to the away fans a bit more rowdy (some want that), etc...

I don't think that there is room for a pricing structure in that respect.

Avon Royal Quite looking forward to:

-Cheaper season ticket
-Cheaper away days
-Winning away
-Meeting up with old rivals again (although it will be strange with no Stoke)
-Having fun again
-An away game I can cycle to
-Fewer hangers-on

Roll on August the 9th!

matejovsky will surely flourish in the championship, with one or two signings in vital areas theres no reason why we can`t be pushing for promotion again

One automatic promotion place is already spoken for in next year's Championship. QPR are going to make Chelski look like they are operating on a tight budget!!

To make matters worse, I suspect at least one of our players will be playing in their hoops next season!

What a load of b******s you lot talk. I for one after 54 years of watching the Royals will tell the Madman where to stick his season ticket.

It's a bloody disgrace how this club has been managed by Coppell and the tight fisted old Chairman.

Increased seaon tickets by 40% for investment in new players. Just a bloody con.

He has ripped off the fans and will do so next season. If we lose next week or win and go down on GD then he can get stuffed, as SDR will not grace the doors again apart from an odd game or two.

Pompey no doubt will put out their reserve team anyway.

Fulham invested in January and despite all odds could well stay up.

RFC are a Bloody shambles.
SDR.

What do you mean? For the past three games I haven't seen any of our goals!

I for one will be extremely pissed off if we stay up next week. It will mean another 12 months of Premiereship bullshit.

Readingfanman I would say the majority can't even name the first XI.

Neither can Coppell if his last few team selections are anything to go by...
