Coppelled Streets Who the hell comes in and takes us forward?

It frightens the life out of me!

Dillon? No. Not after his little spell in charge after Pardew left.
Wally? No No No.
Dolan? ***Possible***

Typically we wont attract a big name, so who is currently out of work and acceptable in your eyes to come in IF we find ourselves looking for a manager shortly?

There was talk Shearer would drop to the Championship to manage. It's not as unthinkable as many may give it time for.

Not necessarily my vote but he is out of work as of last week I think it was, you ready...?

Eamon Dolan

Peter Taylor. :?

Frightening isn't it?!

I think the name you are looking for is Brendan Rodgers. Brendan can currently be seen whispering words of advice into Avram Grants ears on the Chelsea bench.

Shaka sam allardyce
I'd rather watch football in the championship than watch Allardyce "football" in the premier.

Sanchez did a good job with Wycombe.
He did a great job with N.Ireland where to be honest he couldn't do any worse than previous managers.
He got a big chance at Fulham and bought some real shite for big big money.

*great.

With regards to Brendan Rodgers - VERY highly thought of at Chelsea.

But yes please!

Brendan is very well thought of in the industry. I know that he was interviewed for the Leicester job and I think he would bring a new modern approach to what is in many respects a modern club. It could suit both parties very well.

PB spent how much at Derby?
LS spent how much at Fulham?

Of course Fulham are greater than Reading. Look around, they have a number of class players, players that were there before Sanchez arrived by the way!!

David HeaLOLy, a star you said. Not of Premiership quality I said (based on watching him many a time at Leeds), rubbish you said. Rubbish was right.

Would do here next season though!

You and Compo said Reading were better than Fulham, that Fulham 'were down' Not a chance.

I would much rather have their squad than ours, Sanchez signed a good proportion of those players. He also didn't have Bullard or McBride at his disposal pretty much for his whole reign. Those are two of thheir best players who have got results for them in recent weeks.

Sanchez in his 3 jobs, did relatively well at Wycombe, 2 cup semi's and kept them at a level which they have not returned to since he left, did supremely well at Northern Ireland. they hadn't scored in 13 matches before he went there nevermind won a game, and he turned them into a respectable nation. He didn't do as well at Fulham but wasn't given the chance to turn it around, tey may have got worse and gone down, they may have improved who knows?

all I know is this thread is DUMP.

Names currently out of work, Premiership experienced (not necessarily good enough but...):

David O'Leary
Graham Souness
Ian Dowie
Glen Hoddle
Peter Taylor
*Billy Davis*
Lawrie Sanchez
Ian Holloway (soon to be axed)

Who else is enjoying their gardening currently?

I do not want to see Coppell go even if we do go down. I think he is clever enough to hold his hands up and admit he made a mistake having faith in certain members of our squad and will learn from it.

he is the best manager we have had and I believe 'pound for pound' one of the best managers in the country.

For a dark horse, Alan Curbishley might not make to June in gainful employment.

2 pages and not mentioned?

Now there's a debate.

readingfc13 Steve Clarke from Chelsea?

No no no, his behaviour at the Mad Stad last year was nothing short of a disgrace along with Faria. I like to think this club has some integrity and values to it, whatever division, and bringing that arrogant, sly little cnuter in will destroy that. But if you enjoy the thought of a cheating tosspot who winds everyone up at this and other clubs, go for it.

It's the risk option but a favourable one. The relationship is already there with the Championship Chairman.

floyd__streete :x

I can already envisage a cold November Tuesday night 0-0 draw with Burnley in front of a crowd just under 11k.

OK, don't normally post this sort of thing, but seeing as it came up...Saw the legend today, even spoke to him, Seems he was there saturday and satisfyingly for me, shared my views on the perfomance, he spoke with "Steve", heard some very interesting info about the club, the players, the manager.

I Came straight out with, "Get you application in ** , his"reply " * *...see what happens in the summer"

My feelings?..He's interested, if SSC leaves. Possibly the only man who could step into hard to fill shoes.

I'll be down Bookies tuesday.
