Not like 95% of the others, then?

Lawrie Sanchez?!!! Fcuk no!! Ask any self repecting Fulham fan their opinion on him & his expensive re-build there!! He sgned Seol FFS!! Add to that disasters like Davis, Baird, Cook, Bouazza & until Recently (until Hodgson coached him properly) Kamara ... I think you'll all agree that Mr Sanchez is NOT wanted here!!

Sanchez... made us get rid of Seol. Brought a load of duff players to help Reading stay in this league and make Fulham go down (Only for Hodgson to sort it out  . Oh and he lives in Reading.

My order of preference

1) Joe Kinnear
2) Ron Atkinson
3) Barry Fry

Someone with a bit of character and willing to buy in some players. Neither of these three would pick the deadwood at this club week in week out as they had a good season two years ago.

Yeah Seol was shit, so glad we replaced him with Jimmy Kebe.

He signed Steve not Sean. Either would've been excellent signings for us though.

Not sure where I stand on Sanchez. I think he's a pretty decent manager with a decent record. I like the fact he has a strong affinity with the club but as the same time I'm not sure I'd want his style of football at Reading. I always thought the same about Mr Hit The Channels Early Coppell too though, and we've played some fantastic stuff over the last few seasons.

Parky would be a welcome gamble. Just because he had a tough time at Hull doesn't mean he won't be a good manager but I'm not sure we can afford to take that risk at this time in the clubs history.

A lot of people have suggested Bristol City's Gary Johnson. He has an excellent record of getting sides playing good and successful football on a small budget. He'd possibly be my favourite at the moment.

Another name that's been suggested a bit is Glenn Hoddle. I know he has baggage but he can be an excellent manager and he's another who's pretty local and knows the club pretty well. I wouldn't be unhappy if he was JM's first choice.

Sorry my bad.

Agreed that Steve Davis would have been a superb addition in the summer

He was available for 4 million. Sidwell had just left. :|

Big Sam for me...and before any of you spout rubbish about boring football, I'd rather see players of the calibre of Okocha, Djorkaeff, Anelka and Diouf rather than the dire long ball crap we've played this season with footballing geniuses such as Hunt and Harper in the team.

I'd go for Paul Ince as well. He's lost the arrogance of his playing days, he's dopne well in his 2 jobs and his sides play decent football.

Not sure about Sanchez. Obviously someone with a passion for the club but I'd see him more as someone who could stabilise the club rather than take us forward. Likewise Parky. There will always be doubts about his ability at clubs where there is a higher level of expectation

God this is the second post of yours I've agreed with in a matter of minutes! I'm slightly concerned I've been cloned!

Said it before Gary Johnson with Dolan as assistant - fits nicely with Iron Fist Madejski's spending approach - relatively cheap in comparison to other possible managers!

Not as good as Coppell in my eyes.

You might want to see players of that calibre, but do you honestly think JM would allow any new manager to buy such players? We couldn't afford the wages for a start.
