Well he left Reading when we were in the Championship, and has since played 35 times in the Premier League for Portsmouth, and remains understudy to David James. He is under-rated.

Should never have been allowed to go. When deputising for Hahnemann he was superb!

He wasn't 'allowed' to go....for the reason you listed above, when he deputised for USA he alerted other clubs to his talent and as a result when he run out of contract he choose the premiership with pompey over championship mediocrity with us.

Wasn't that when Robson came in and turned things around in a few weeks?

"not a very very very very weak side" does not equal a full strength squad. HTH.

My memory is he deputised for while, then Marcus picked an injury and Ashdown kept him out and was our best player for the end of the 04/05 season. Unfortunately he was out of contract at the end and went to Pompey. So based on that you could even say Ashdown > Hahnemann.

Lets hope it comes true.
Ashdown saves us from relagation and Duberry scores.

Or.
John Oster scores a 94th minute 30 yard screamer and Fulham go down.

I'll see your John Oster and raise you a Jimmy Kebe overhead kick, silencing anyone who questioned Coppell's transfer policy.

Although he did look a bit good after that electrifying run against Everton

Maybe Shorey will answer his critics by having a shot from a free kick and scoring. :D
Lita Hat-Trick?
Or maybe Coppell u-turns on Fae and Sonko and they both score to keep us up.

Now i am being childish. :P

How about a sudden discovery that Jimmy Bullard's registration form was filled out incorrectly, and so he Fulham are docked about 20 point for playing an ineligible player?
