What is it with Rosenior??

Roseniors ability was summed up when he tried to knock a ball down the line to another reading player and he kicked it straight out.

along with slipping over again when the opponenets get in our area, happened at Newcastle - goal, happened against Birmingham - McSheffrey missed and happened again saturday - goal.

I dont think he slipped on Saturday though - he actually went to ground thinking Keane was gonna shoot. Should and could have stayed on his feet and then Spurs wouldn't have scored...

I've only seen it on the day and it looked as though he was backpedalling and slipped, could be wrong.

He slipped in the first half againt Arsenal as well. I though 'here we go again'.

He actually played really well when he first broke into the team, I thought. What happened? Confidence? Flattered to deceive?

He wasn't poor at Newcastle, he just happened to cost us a goal by falling over.

I thought he did well Saturday as he played for the last 60 minutes of the game with no wide man in front of him and he had a hell of a lot of ground to cover ..also had our closest effort of the game.

Lots of people thought he had a shocker too, but they must also know very little about football. Yes his crosses were not great but it is the wide midfielders job to provide most of those and there just wasnt one. I thought he did well considering the amount of work he had to do. Certianly was miles better than Shorey, Hunt, Doyle and a few others.

There was about half an hour in the second half when he just didnt know what he was doing. He did the same against Fulham, but for the whole game.

He wasn't sure whether he should stay deep, push on or drift inside, so ended up making completely the wrong choice every time, plus continually mis-placing his passes, culminating in the dreadful "pass" that went out for a throw that Kes mentioned.

I would say that was a pretty accurate analysis of what happened. He looked OK in the first half with the 442.
