rg6royal Will be snapping up my Exeter ticket for the play off final in the next hour or so :)
Given that neither will take 45,000, couldn't they have made it pay on the day?

Don't bank on it. A few weeks ago when Corinthian Casuals hosted AFCW at Wembley, a couple of thousand were locked out on the day (with a total attendance of about 4000!) but the Wembley officials were really jobsworth and said they weren't allowed to do pay on the day because of segregation rules. Absolutely ludicrous!

From the FA

5000 tickets on sale on Saturday, should either team's allocation be sold out then the ticket offices will close.

I Love the organisers at Wembley SOLD OUT a 90,000 stadium with a crowd of around 35,000 tops.

Eastbourne Borough promoted to the Blue Square Premier after beating Hampton & Richmond 2-0 in the play-off final.

I remember watching them play in the Sussex League at Southwick when I was at Uni about 10 or so years ago. A fantastic acheivement.

Gutted for the Beavers, some shocking ref decisions on the night. Blatant handball not given and H&R were battering the Eastbourne goal all night. Keeper unlucky with the first Eastbourne goal, great turn from the striker and smash into the top left corner. Keeper got a great hand to it and tipped it onto the bar, where it then bounced straight to the foot of a Eastbourne player. Second goal scored as H&R were camped in the opposition half in injury time.

to be fair they don't want to open up whole sections with staffing costs etc only for about 500 extra people to show up

I couldn't care less who wins this.

Exeter my home for 9 years and a season ticket holder for 3 of those.

Cambridge for JQ and his RFC days.

One of those superb ties where you can watch a hugely significant match and not care one iota about the outcome.

Blast H&R for not winning, they always seem to get three points off Brommers.

Speaking of which, Super Si has gone, to be replaced by.....the previous manager.

Halifax Town go bankrupt and lose their place in the Blue Square Conference.

A reformed club is to be set up down the pyramid in the Unibond League.

Always a real shame when clubs suffer this fate. Too many ex league clubs seem to have gone down the same route. Boston, Scarboro and Newport spring to mind.

Have fond memories :| of our last wind swept trip to The Shay!

Amazingly, Altrincham are set to be repreived from relegation for the 3rd year running.

I remember dreading (and expecting) a statement from Reading along these lines back in the Pre JM days. Puts our relegation into perspective:

Boston haven't gone out of business.

When they were relegated from the League, the BSP wouldn't have them straight away and they were demoted to the Conference North where they played last season.

Sad News about Halifax though.

so..exeter regain league status. the garrison boys elect for the first time.the likes of torquay, oxford and cambridge(is there a joke somewhere there about being sent down?) may find it difficult to escape the conference as the money atrophies.
