Just to raise the tone of this board again...anyone who wants to be considered for a fans' panel tonight, please drop me an email to andy.stevenson@bbc.co.uk

Those of you who were on the panel at the start of the season are welcome to return, but still email me to confirm.

Ideally, you'd be able to come into our Caversham studios between 6 and 7pm this evening.

Joel at the Pompey game is an idiot. He keeps saying that as it stands (at HT) it suits both Reading and Birmingham with them both staying up. It only suits Reading at the moment pal. Birmingham will only stay up if Reading concede as it stands. That's what you get I suppose when the BBC is funded in the unique way it is.

Probably, yes. To be fair to them when they decided 3 years ago to drop football and "concentrate on being a music-output station" they were mostly-owned by Guardian Media Group. It was when JM increased his stake so that Madejski Holdings became the largest shareholder that they came back to football - so I suspect they'll be no change there, except that RFC will continue to give an unfair competitive advantage to JM's company rather than to a public service broadcaster (e.g. "Play Your Shirts Right", priority of guests etc)
