Schards#2 I don't think it's possible to put a single name on that list at the moment given we have no idea who the manager may be.
Frankly, that scares the hell out of me.

papereyes I really hope we keep Kitson. I think we're more likely to compared to Lita and Doyle, but his record at the lower level is fantastic and his contribution in other areas also massively outweights his more high-profile teammates.
But it all depends on, well, Coppell, then any replacement, then ...
Continuity > a fresh start

BR2 Like a lot of you others I expect ,we spent the journey back looking ahead to next season and speculating.
The first obvious expectation is that Shorey plus a few obvious fringe players will leave.
My brother managed to convince me that our real problem(amongst others) has been playing two wingers who are both ineffective in that they can't cross nor provide defensive cover either to the two full-backs or to the two central midfielders.
On the basis that we play 4-4-2 and won't need a purely defensive central midfielder in the Championship, that we manage to hold on to our best two players,Doyle and Kitson and that we get money for Shorey and are prepared to spend an additional say £4 million (just a few assumptions) how about this for a first eleven come August:-
Marcus
Rosenior Bikey Duberry Lewington (from MK Dons)
Elliott (from Burnley) Harper Mateosky Hughes (from Pompey)
Doyle Kitson
If (and a big IF ) we could tempt Baines from Everton ,Kightley from Wolves and either Ledley from Cardiff or Surman from Saints even better but more importantly in the above set-up we would have a proper winger on the right and an orthodox tackling left-sided midfielder.
If Sunderland were prepared to pay anything for Hunt then even better but if Oster is still thought of as a regular right-winger then the future of our club will be as a Championship side at best.
At the back I think Bikey playing off Duberry is the best option that we have from current staff and Pearce might just progress that bit further and I have liked Lewington from his days as a very young player with Wimbledon who is more of a physical presence than Shorey.
Whatever else the club does it must pull out all stops to keep Doyle and Kitson.
The worst news would be that the club announces it's first signing which turns out to be Ivar,Halls or Oster being offered a new contract.

Platypuss I am convinced you lot are taking the piss.
is it really too hard to check if the same topic is not already being discussed elsewhere?

"-this quote is a bit much on a day when we are all feeling a bit down and I am far from deluded and have never been an RTG but I do feel that the chairman will see the light especially now that the sale value of the club will have reduced drastically and the only way he could sell for the money that he wants is for us to be a Premiership club again.Big ErnBR2 Like a lot of you others I expect ,we spent the journey back looking ahead to next season and speculating.

This is either:
a) A Joke
b) Wirtten by a 5 year old
c) from someone with no idea about football
Really, Baines from Everton - you are having a fooking laugh mate. Why would Knightly want to move from Wolves? they are in the same division as us and Wolves are a bigger club. Ledley will go to a Premiership club and with Cardiff putting a proce of £8million on him, then theres no chance. Plus and additional £4MILLION to spend???? If the club won;t spend £$million while in the Premiership, whats the chances of us doing that in the Championship...thats right..FECK ALL
You make winchester_royal look intelligent.
Big Ern or is it Big Mouth?
Ambition-that is what we hear from the club about next season and we are laden with £30 million plus from a parachute payment.
We will also receive money from the sale of Shorey so that makes us one of the richest clubs in The Championship especially with the money sqirrelled away from this season.
Cardiff,Wolves and Southampton all clubs with money worries so why wouldn't players who have seen their club fail to make the play-offs this season consider joining a club with intent to make it back up to The Premiership rather than stay with clubs that are merely surviving?
As for Baines will anyone of the better clubs come in for him after a season on the bench and whose career has gone backwards?
Nothing ventured, nothing gained and don't forget it's not so long ago that we were able to buy all of the better lower division players that we wanted and even bought Caskey from Spurs (a Premier League club don't forget) when we were still at Elm Park with never more than 12,000 watching-the same Caskey who a couple of years previously had captained England U21s including Beckham et al.
So don't be so small minded and perhaps a bit less mouthy.
The club has promised a review of all things and that must include transfers/wages and with a chairman who just loves rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous can you believe that he will be content to see us in the Championship where the rubbing of shoulders just won't happen?
No,I'm convinced that we will go back to those lower division days when we bought the best at our level (Fozzy,Butler,Murty etc all for approaching £1million a time)and Kightley,Ledley,Surman and so on should be within our range and fit the criterion of being eager and hungry and who knows we might do a Caskey again and pick up a Premiership player or two
"In short, you are a deluded twat. Wake up and get real as you are going to be disspointed.
