brendywendy just recorded an uncomfortable interview with ITV at the stadium in front of said space(i believe the correc t convention is "its in the can")-wish id cut my hair and trimmed my nails now!
210, 107, bbcRbm, BBc sky news/sports news all will be there tonight-and ive jsut texted talk sport
and me

see you there, and bring a poster

and can i just say how different a reaction to relegation compared to our fellow relegatees
derby on the pitch, not fit to wear the shirts etc
brum on the pitch, riots, abuse of the chairman etc
RFC- standing ovation, and a demo to get the manager to stay

thats why i love this club

I was going to make exactly this point on another thread.

Absolutely spot on.

Reading fans - accepting second best with a cheery smile.

you are welcome to riot as you please

and LOL at SC being 2nd best

well, staying up would have been better, wouldn't it?

I know that continuity is imperative now. I know we were punching above our weight for the last two seasons, at least. But let's not kid ourselves that our team couldn't have done any better this season.

no ones perfect
but he is perfect for this club

im not having a go
its up to everyone to form their own opinion, and you are right, this season has not been a roaring success, and the problems are out there for people to assess
but he knows what they are, and i reckon hes best equipped to get us going again
IMO

How is recognising that SC is the best person for the job of taking us up again the same as denying that this season was a failure?

I would much rather be a smaller club with a big heart than a big club with no heart. This event tonight is showing that it truely matters to the community.

I'm not having a go

so why did you have to make the point and disagree with/challenge a comment you now seem to agree with? :|

We (the fans) seem to have accepted relegation with barely a fuss. The club hardly fought against it.

I'm glad we've not turned on our club like Birmingham, a club I wouldn't consider as that much bigger than us an utterly deluded with grandeur - but something about all this is making me very uneasy - maybe I just don't like accepting failure. We do seem to have meekly accepted second best here - let's hope this attitude peters out when the next season starts? When the bread and butter of actually winning games again starts.

And yes, again, continuity is a good thing and required while the fallout of this season is cleared away.

It's not a failure, yet.

It's a set-back on the clubs development, but maybe even not that bad of one.

It will only be a failure if the club don't give a good go at promotion next season.
