speculation - Berger

One season, bit of class in the Championship. Fitness might be an issue but for 20 odd cameos that add some real quality, and on a free, why not?

Would all depend on how much he wants to play and prove he's still got what it takes.

That and whether his little cameo's would be worth the wages he'd probably be after. We probably couldn't get a more technically gifted or creative player though, so might be worth a gamble.

Someone elsewhere made a comment about us slipping back down and signing has been's instead of carrying on our 'hungry youngster' policy of the last few years. I think it's something to be weary of, but a little bit of extra guile would be great to watch, especially if Little is going to struggle to complete a full season next year.

Our 'hungry youngster' policy has not exactly done the business, maybe its time for a Berger!

I thought I heard he wanted to go back to Prague. If he's up for it though he'd be worth a season.

If Fulham win at Portsmouth, that is.

Both Thomas Sorensen and Patrik Berger have been released from Villa today..

Not sure about Sorensen if Hahnemann stays but Berger would make a great addition..

I have always rated Sorensen as a great keeper, and at 31 he is quite a lot younger than Marcus and could still play for another few years...

Berger, however, is 34 and i think past his best days at liverpool... i dont think he would be a good investment as his wages would be quite demanding

id have Berger like a shot, he is obviously not too big headed to make the drop he did it at Stoke a couple of years back

If anyone thinks Coppell (assuming he stays) would sign Patrick Berger, they are obviously off their rocker.
