AthleticoSpizz poor for us.......but as tenuosly aforementioned..........scored hatfulls elsewhere

(yawn) Doyle........... no goals in how many starts?

Brayson was hardly our worst (ever)

we had a goalkeeper called Parsons once..................

This wasn't how he got on for NON LEAGUE Northwich or how Cheltenham released him, or how now york have released him. He was utter garbage for Reading, certainly in the top 5 worst strikers to play for Reading, without question.

rfcjoe Andy Hughes, Paul Brooker, Loloyd Owusu, Anthony Rougier? Keith Scott.

Harsh on Owusu who scored about 10 goals in a season at CCC level, bit of a donkey but fond memories of his time. Raise the roof

Brooker was a bit like Oster, lightweight but had some skill when he could be bothered. Remember him playing with rockets in his boots up at Sunderland in a TV game but pretty crap apart from that, Hughes was Hunt without so much skill.

Sheps was GOD indeed, of comedy.I'm gonna dig out some old programmes and see what genius I can find.

Just googled sheps and got this.LoL

"I confess," writes Simon Sheppard in the introduction to In Deep. "I love to worship at the Altar of Dick." Considering his brilliance as a master of queer erotica, we think he should be declared pope of the Church of Dick. Why? If nothing else gets you off faster than a writer who's so good you can practically smell the cum in the scenes he creates, then there's no one else who can deliver like Simon. Need proof? Check out a few entries in this stunner of a collection: a gay vampire story to end all gay vampire stories, a raunchy Western tale that would have John Wayne riding a little snug in his saddle, and an in-your-face and up-your-ass retelling of the story of the Garden of Eden (and this time it is all about Adam and Steve). If you add to that mix a little raunch, a little kink, a little fratsex, and a little twink, what do you have? You have In Deep - the bible for anyone who wants to worship at the Altar of Dick

Those players, apart from Keith Scott, weren't great but all had their great moments and performed consistently average or good (doesn't count when they left the club except for Hughesy for that bargain!) The Division 2/League 1 era had quite a few catastrophes, such as Mass Sarr, Paul Brayson, Elroy Kromheer, Peter van der Kwaak, Sean Evers, Jimmy Crawford, Andy Gurney, Robert Fleck, among others. Don't forget the forgotten ones that did nothing for Reading, like Eric Obinna Chukwynely (Is that how you spell his last name?), Sekou Baradji, Omar Daley and Peter Mate. Plus the waste of money buys like Greg Halford, Emerse Fae (as it looks like it's turned out to be), Scott Murray and one or two Tommy Burns signings.

if we'd got Keith Scott on a free we'd all say "good old Keith scott, we trundled him on and he did a job"

someone saw fit to give Wycombe £250,000 for him

Who said Rougier? Fair enough he went a long time without scoring, but what else didn't he do? In my view he was instrumental in the 2001/02 season, not to mention his late brace against Oxford. I think I realised how good Rougier was when it dawned on me that he wasn't about scoring goals, he was about creativity and being a real nuisance. Does anybody remember the match against QPR in 01/02 where he created 5 or 6 good chances and we only took 1 (which was enough)? If I remember properly his cross dribbled in off Hughes' shin.

Worst player I've ever seen at Reading?? Has to be that geezer who used to play for Arsenal. What was his name - erm Terry Henry or something. He was dire - I can see why they got rid of him.

Row V What about "Barn-door Brayson"?
(he who scored shit loads for Northwich and Gateshead ?

Err. We play at a bit of a higher level than those two.

I don't get the Bas hate. He was average to mediocre BUT he tried. At the time, the squad contained a bunch of players that really didn't. One of the 3-0s in a row - he was at least involved when 3 or 4 better players were off with the fairies.

I personally hold Brooker and Owusu in lower regard. Really average, as average as Basley, but ... no-one seemed to notice.

I also had a real dislike for Jason Bowen.

Keith Scott.

£250,000 for a complete pile of sh*t

Moaned and moaned and moaned about the EP giving players ratings after games.

Perhaps if you had not been so crap Keith you might have been rated more than a 3.

Still makes my blood boil we actually paid money for him. Grrrrrrrrrr

I bloo*y well would not! I will never ever say anything possitive about that waster. If he had been a freebe he still would have been rubbish.
