not sure if anyone's posted this (but obviously its been going around a bit just by word of mouth) but an article from the Reading Post says a bit about his testimonial being thrown into doubt etc.

TVP should rethink now...

Reading FC v Celtic in Memorial to Tommy Burns charity testimonial game with proceeds going to help Cancer.

Dont think you'll get much hassle from either clubs... And it was Tommy that brought Murts to our Great Club.

Blue and White Toucan Unfortunately any game now looks unlikely as the date proposed for the testamonial game is the same day as the start of the CC Championship season!!!!!

Not easy to arrange a freindly game mid season either.

So poor old Murts gets a double whammy.


Probably what JM was publically cryptically apologising to Murty for on the radio!
