Old Biscuitman This is off topic, but during our two seasons in the Premiership which teams did we never take a point off? I can only think of Arsenal.

As I was a bit bored just now I did a quick spreadsheet of who we did best against in our 2 premiership seasons. Best opponents for us over both seasons were Man City, worst as you correctly say were Arsenal, but I was shocked to see that Pompey were our second worst opponents. I think if you want the point where our season went wrong it was when Sonko got sent off against them in the first minute...

Opp Played PointsPerGame GoalDiff
Derby 2 3 +5
Sheff Utd 2 3 +3
Man City 4 2.25 +4
Charlton 2 2 +2
Birmingham 2 2 +1
West Ham 4 1.75 +4
Middlesboro 4 1.75 +1
Wigan 4 1.75 +1
Sunderland 2 1.5 0
Bolton 4 1.5 -2
Fulham 4 1.5 -2
Newcastle 4 1.5 -2
Everton 4 1 -2
Aston Villa 4 0.75 -2
Liverpool 4 0.75 -2
Tottenham 4 0.75 -2
Watford 2 0.5 -2
Blackburn 4 0.5 -3
Man Utd 4 0.5 -3
Chelsea 4 0.25 -3
Portsmouth 4 0.25 -7
Arsenal 4 0 -9

The last stat has given me even more reason to hate them.

I'd just admire how much better they are than us, if I was you.

Never. Considering how much better Man Utd and Chelsea are than Arsenal, I'm amazed how we managed to do better against them than Arsenal. Or is it because our team is always backing off and giving them the space and time to exploit? The fact that we conceded 12 goals in 4 games to Arsenal fills me with disgust.

Doesn't really matter any more though, does it?
