Kes I told you this news last week but the thread was deleted by one of the mods.

You told us there would be a press conference on the 20th May at 2.30pm? Impressive stuff from a Chelsea supporter.

I said there was a press conference next week. Didn't say the day or time as it had to be confirmed.

So, let's get this right Sherlock - season ends, Coppell goes on hols for a week, and you want kudos for predicting that there'll be a Press Conf in the week of his return.

Do you think there'll be an announcement about season ticket prices, soon?

If the purpose is simply to announce that SC is staying, then it's the media / PR thing gone mad. All that needs is a simple press release. Therefore, assuming that the club is saner than that, I have to believe that there's more to it. Hammond going, Coppell replacing him, new manager being sought.....is my best guess.

Ginger Ninjas
Rawlie19 In that case, I predict that Reading will sign a new player in the next 2 months. You heard it here first.

Tbf, that comment could come back to bit you in the arse based on our previous two off seasons!

We have signed players in BOTH of our two previous off seasons. What's your point?

It wouldn't surprise me if JM used today's press conference as a vehicle for sorting out all of the "outstanding issues" - i.e. Coppell's future, and backroom staff reshuffling, ST prices for next year etc.

Will Coppell jump a sinking ship? Or will he have the bottle to stay and face the music?

Let's hope it's the latter.

Is there a possibility they will release the new kit and/ or season ticket prices at the same time as announcing Coppell's decision? they have done it before i think when we signed Kevin Doyle they revealed the new kit.

And also, as someone has mentioned before, they can release the bad news about the season ticket prices to us and cover it up with good news about Coppell.

I think it may have something to do with this too, might be a release of the new kit at the same time. Media coverage and all that.

How do you know? There's nothing to suggest he will or won't be there on the OS.
