Ibrahimovic has been good in Serie A this season.

Huntelaar looks a decent striker but you can't judge him properly because he plays in a second rate league. Even Kuyt managed 30 goals in Holland.

and Kezman before him: 105 goals, 120 odd games. (although I reckon he'd be a success in the league slightly lower down the ladder)

Alves: 45 goals, 39 games

Van Hooijdonk is another. Great record in Holland and other second rate leagues like Scotland, Turkey and Portugal. Never managed it in the top leagues though.

That was more personal issues though, wasn't it? I always thought he did quite well, given that Forest were being sunk by directorial mismanagement at the time.

My point is that Drogba was worth a shout, I didn't say he was the best.
As far as I'm concerned, if he's up for it, United could lose because of him.
If he sulks and rolls around on the ground, United will beat them.
For me, he is that important to Chelsea.

If he leaves, Chelsea will not get close to the title for a long while.

That was my point, Drogba is one of the best strikers in Europe.

To be fair that Guiza of Mallorca should be in with a shout. I think the lad has just won top goalscorer in Spain and some of his finishing is magical.

Lad has a fantastic first touch, positioning is key as he isn't that quick but his finishing is calm and measured to perfection. Torres, Villa, Guiza is a strong attacking line up for Spain in the Euros

Aguero was the best player in Spain. Messi gets a lot of praise but as always he missed a third of the season. Aguero's performance against Barcelona was the best individual performance I've seen all season.

You'd have to go back to the likes of Romario and Ronaldo. Holland used to be a great proving ground for Brazilians, these days the money seems to take them to Russia.

I see what you're saying, but this is the 07/08 season. Drogba is probably the best out of those strikers mentioned because even if he doesn't score he still causes mayhem for the defence even though he is frustrating to watch at times.

Bergkamp? Absolute legend and superb footballer.

We'll have to see how Alves does next season i suppose.

Also in regard to huntelaar, his international goals record isn't too shabby either!
