AndyRFC3 veesinarowFiNeRaIn That said, most people accept rangers would have won the title by a long way had they not had to suffer a ridiculous fixture pile up thats embarrassed the SPL and scotland.
The true embarrassment is that any Rangers fan blames the SPL for the fixture pile-up caused by...Rangers playing successfully in four competitions and reaching three finals. How long should the season have gone on? June? July? August? If you are successful across four competitions, you have to expect a lot of games in a smaller time-frame. Otherwise, get yourself knocked out of the ones you don't really want and concentrate on the those you do i.e. the League.
One wonders if Tommy Burns had snuffed it on Wednesday night and the Tims had been behind in the title race they would've wanted it to be moved. One rule for one, one for another. Shambles at Motherwells pitch didnt help. The death of Phil O'Donnell should not have affected the Old Firm game in January. Rangers fans showed that they respected the Burns 'applasses' at Motherwell and at Aberdeen last night (may have also been one at St Mirren).

FiNeRaIn I remember the phil o'donnell death, half their team was out and they were in crap form. He dies, was an average player hasn't been near the club for 7 years and the club are too heartbroken to play the game and have it postponed. Laughable really.
It would be like reading trying to have a game called off because darren caskey died.

handbags_harris Not too sure about the "our record" for 9 in a row Gus, you conveniently forget Rangers did it as well. Who cares if they were the 2nd club to do it, 9 in a row is 9 in a row whenever it happens.

FiNeRaIn Rangers are the most successful club in the world with the most trophy's. Smashing club.

It's just a shame their southern fans tend to be obnoxious burberry-clad "no surrender"-singers, and I kind of dislike the club through association. I don't have any love for Celtic either, but they are a vastly more charismatic club.FiNeRaInhandbags_harris Not too sure about the "our record" for 9 in a row Gus, you conveniently forget Rangers did it as well. That record is debatable, what isn't debatable is that rangers are the most successful club in the world with the most trophy's. Smashing club.

FiNeRaIn The facts speak for themself, celtic were better in the league this season and deserve to win. The history books won't lie.
That said, most people accept rangers would have won the title by a long way had they not had to suffer a ridiculous fixture pile up thats embarrassed the SPL and scotland. Rangers will end the season with two domestic trophy's and a runners up Uefa cup medal. Celtic relied on rangers to loose the league rather than win it, they also played a liverpool role this season, playing for one competition only.
Rangers raked in some big funds this season so can hopefully get some quality over the summer. Rangers will be happier with the season they've had.

It's only the historians interpretation of the facts. They're truth.
Obviously there is a fairly good trend these days of trying to be objective and not manipulate things. But 500 years down the line can you really trust secondary or tertiary sources all that much?
