Just looking back and there's the mention of Brooker and Owusu as not being failures.

Again, failure might be too strong a word but you are REALLY pushing it if those two showers of mediocrity could ever be described as successes at this club.

Row Z Royal
Geekins A chant for tomorrow

Emerse Fae - What a w@nker, what a w@nker.

And Sonko?

Sonko hasn't come out and said that Coppell is stupid for suspending the them and that he will not play again for the club. If Sonko is sorry then after his 2 week suspension he will be back to being Superman. Fae has vowed not to play again and so he rightly deserves grief from the fans as he hasn't given us anything anyway.

Can we leave any grief/criticism to be aimed at players at the front door tomorrow please? I understand your view and I'll criticise Fae for his actions, but the last, crucial home match is a time for 90 minutes of unequivocal support, not wnaker chants, however justified. Criticism can come after the match.

We need to show we are behind Coppell, so we can do all the usual chants too. I think we need to send out a message saying that we pay their wages and expect them to act professionally whether for the 1st, reserves etc. Can't we sing it just once??

The atmosphere when Pards came back was electric and boosted the players, even though we were singing about Pards. Any atmosphere is better than none.

LOL at anyone trying to argue that the signing of Halford was a success.

I'd substitute "miracle"!

Unfortunately, we're a football club, not venture capitalists.

by westongeezer » 03 May 2008 15:00

I was listening to talksport last night, i was driving that my exscuse when the topic came up about Sonko and Fae they asked Reading fans to call in to give there opinion about it and they jammed the switch board.......NOT, lol i love the way we keep our gobs shut about internal issues surrounding the team, i kinda like that, i like listening to whinging fans blaming everyone else but there team. Btw not one Reading fan called in.

What goes around comes around.

I seem to remember that earlier this year the club were quite happy to sign a player who had just refused to play for the club that was paying his wages! What example was that setting?

Fae is in starting 11 against Japan today.

by hiro » 24 May 2008 11:20

Kick off time is 19:20 24th May, here in Japan (11:20am Uk time) only a mimute away.
Fae is in starting 11 for his natinal team against Japan in Toyoda, Japan.
I will report the game and how he plays here.

Japan is 4-4-2 and the side include Le Man's Matsui and VfL Wolfsburg's Hasebe.
Ivory Coast is 5-4-1 and Fae is right side of midfield diamond. ZOKORA is Captain and he plays along side with EBOUE in midfield too. Kolo TOURE is in the bench. Drogba is not with the tour this time. Fae wears No.7.

19:20 Game started under the rain. Pitch is a bit slippy. Fae stays in central midfield, had couple touchs. Did not lose the ball so far. Not bad start.

19:40 Tamada, FW of Nagoya Grampus Eight, scores from 6 yards from counter attack. Japan 1-0 Ivory Coast

Ivory Coast is not passing a ball well tonight. They have played against Paraguay in Yokohama two nights ago. Fae played full 90 minutes in the game ended 1-1 draw. Still tired of long flight and short space between a game. Apparently, Ivory Coast is going to have World Cup qualify game in Africa in a week time.

20:07 Half time. Japan leading 1-0

20:22 Second half begins, no substitutions made.

20:47 Fae shoot from just outside the box, Blocked by DF. Fae did not seem to exist in the game at all until now.

21:00 7minutes remaining. Fae is substituted by FW.
Whatever happening between him and Coppell, I hoped that Fae to play well tonight as he carried the name of Royals even now.
But he seemed to fail to impress anyone through this game.

better performances mean more cash for us as well. So even if he is a shit we should never have bought, I want him to play well for his country.
