Parking trouble alert! You have been warned!

But...If you haven't been before, it really is an odd combination of ground location and one huge top quality stand. If it's windy, watch out! Went there in a thunderstorm which was rather entertaining.

Certainly a "must see" ground for it's quirkiness.

Quality, not too far from me so I'll toodle along if it's an evening game - or is it going to be during the day?

I agree about the parking, best to park somewhere at the bottom of the hill and walk up. Hill not to be taken lightly though!

Am I allowed to go and watch them????

Or have they usurped another team's league position, have some dodgy history etc etc a la' MK Dons. I'm not going unless i know all the players have been CRB checked

The 17 Bus when did you move to Tewkesbury?
I move here every Monday morning and return every Friday afternoon so the majority of my life is in Tewkers at the moment. A Tuesday match at Forest Green would be a short drive from here and having been there once already I'll be happy to return.

Went there the last time we played them in a friendly - 2004? Spent the day at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge, then went to the game in the evening. That was their old ground, shame I won't be able to make it to have a look at the new one.

According to their website they've recently moved [300 yards] from 'The Lawn'.

As I've never been there I don't know if this is relevant or not.

Out of date website. Went there about 4 years ago. That website shows how odd the one huge stand looks!

Could this be part of a deal for us to sign Stuart Fleetwood, or am I reading too much into it?

I used to play football on the pitch that they built their new stadium on. Our team folded a couple of years later after not being able to find a suitable permanent pitch. It meant that I could get to Reading every Saturday, rather than only being able to go to midweek games.

This coincided with the start of our Championship winning season, so in a way I have FGR a lot to thank for!! :D

(waiting for the plastic blah blah blah posts....)

Hi All

Newbie here well not so New actually but you may as well get it over with. I am a Reading boy through & Through and have supported the RoyalsSince I was young.

But enough of that. I moved from delghtful Reading some 3 and a Half Years ago and have had real trouble seeing games as I now own a shop and can't get up to see games as I work on a Saturday but I have followed the Highs and Lows of the Premiership on Telly.

I now live & Work in the Cotswold Town of Nailsworth Home of the mighty? Forest Green Rovers. Imagine my delight when I saw this post. WOW the Roayls are coming here and I only live 5 mins walk from the New Lawn. The posters are right parking is always a problem but you can park in the Town and either walk up (about 15-20 Mins VERY Steep hill) or take a bus. If you arrive early enough you might get parking. It depends how many of you are maikng the Journey. We have a wonderful life down here and the people are very freindly. Pubs are in fairly short supply but there is The Village which is in the town center which brews its own ale and makes its own pies (My recommendation) or the Brittania a bit more wine bar but still very nice. If you fancy something a little more exotic The Passage to India is possibly the best Indian Resraunt around for miles.

I can't wait for 15th July and now They are in the championship again maybe I can get to see some games now that the Reading/Chelsea Reading Arsenal fans will no longer be interested. Hopefully some evening games might be in the offing. I am afraid that I won't see Marek play after his mishap at last nights Euro Game.

Hope to see some of you guys soon down here in the lovely Cotswolds
