Sub against Switzerland - can't help feeling slightly relieved.

Thank God for that.

Although I love him, I really would love for him to be on the bench for the 3 group games, and for the Czechs to be knocked out in the group stage.

Saw him hug Sverkos, the goalscorer, at the end!

Nah mate I was doing work. I did want him to get on the pitch though.

No where near as good as the fun we all had when Bobby Mihaylov played every game back in 98 was it?

True, made me a Bulgaria and England supporter. Talking of him, remember that save he made away at Tranmere? At the time made me think we wouldn't miss Shaka after all!

Edit: It was Euro 96!

Must admit to the embarrassment of thinking "Great, Marek's starting" when they went down the lineup during the anthem, only to realise 30 seconds mater it was Lubomir Sionko.

Still, the perfect performance to showcase his talents to the rest of Europe.

I so want him to light up the tournament and show what a great player he is, but even moreso, I so want him to still be a Reading player next season.

We know he's nailed his flag to the mast for us this coming season, but also many players and scouts will be using the competition as a shopping window. Hope Marek plays , coming on as sub, and comes back fit and healthy.

SSN saying he "may feature" today. Also mentions Milan Baros possibly coming in, so may merely be an indication that they think they are the only two Czech players who didn't play last time anyone will have heard of.

Apparently he had an abdominal muscle injury and that is why he didn't feature in the first match. Marek says it is a straight fight between him and David Jarolim for a starting place today.
