I agree. Coppell would never have seen the potential in Sidwell that Pardew did.

Yes Coppell was at the club when we signed Kitson, but it was Pardew that lined him up. It was prity much a done deal months before the transfer happened. So that is why i argue that Pardew signed Kitson.

Pardew left 10 Sep 2003 (last signing the Goat on 01 August, after 'losing out' on Reo-Coker earlier in the season...)
Coppell arrived 9 Oct
Kitson signed 26 Dec

So Coppell only had 2 and a half months to not sign Kitson and Pardew only had about six months to line him up for WHU

Coppell has made some shocking signings and i do not trust him in the transfer market.

He has bought in:

Fae
Halls
Sodje
Bennett
Doobs (ish)
Kebe
Halford
Lita (ish)
Seol

And they have all been shit. He has probably also bought in some other shite players whose names escape me.

The only respectable signing Coppell has made in the last 2 seasons is Marek, but we needed him at the start of the season, not half way through!

LOL at lita being rubbish-he was bought to get us to teh prem, and that he did
seol was awesome when he started, just faded, but did alot to get us to 8th place
and doobs was a very dependable and experienced head when our defence was shakey
