Wycombe Royal Apparently he had an abdominal muscle injury and that is why he didn't feature in the first match. Marek says it is a straight fight between him and David Jarolim for a starting place today.

Is there a report somewhere then... link?

Not hard to find!

Which is exactly why I didn't respond. Some people want you to do everything for them.

When he looks around the dressing room does he think "I wish Harps, Oster & Hunt were Czech too".

Well, that's not something Marek's used to - playing in a team that makes a promising* start but ends up going a goal down.

According to the Guardian website:

21 min: Reading's Marek Matejovsky has impressed early on, lying deep in the Czech midfield and breaking up Portugal's play. Petit has another wild swing at goal, this one zips well wide

Oh anyone else fancy bumping up Marek's player rater on the bbc

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 389619.stm

Matejovsky stamps on Petit.

Hunt would be proud.

I'd sent him an email asking how Matejovsky was doing, I don't know if this was in response to it. I don't think I've ever seen him as a "breaking up play" kind of player and in fact that was one of the things we missed last season.

My inner pessimist is winning the reaction battle here - not too good, Marek, you don't want those pesky top division clubs enticing you with money and fame and medals and stuff.
