Streets It'll be a cracking away day, Forest always is, but a real test all the same.

Can't wait.

Forest Fans You've lost that loving feeling, wohoah, that loving feeling

As good as I thought it sounded, hope we don't hear that this year.

A few days ago the Official site said that we are keeping 8pm kick-offs at midweek home games, so I don't know where you saw this. Exception is TV Fridays when they are 7.45 for TV purposes. That's TV Fridays, not TFI Fridays.

On the official sites fixture list!

I guess they haven't got round to updating that yet then.

When the fixtures are released, the Beeb always show midweek games as kicking off at 19:45 regardless. This gets changed throughout the season as they get more information.

If you look at our Easter Monday game at Blackpool, that is also showing as 19:45 - that should be 3pm.

No, as the festival is the weekend before.

Damn. I was hoping for an away game in some grimey Northern outpost on the 30th. Got to go to a wedding.

The Reading Festival post gave me some hope.

Jack Celliers
Baines That list looks a bit more familiar than the aberration of the last two seasons...

Ref the BBC list:

When did the abbreviation for Forest become Nottm Forest instead of Notts Forest?

Late 1970s.
Before then people weren't as sophisticated and pedancy was not so rife, so you would see both.

er...actually that would be pedantry

Tough opening bout of fixtures to start the season IMO.

Win 3 or 4 of the first 5 and we'll be off to a flyer. But potential for banana skins and be chasing the pack from the very off.

At least, as opposed to last year, we won't have to wait for the annual fight between Sky and Setanta to delay the release of the TV fixtures - I'd imagine Sky will release their first set of Championship fixtures within a week (as it used to be)...

A big LOL @ those who said that relegation meaning more midweek games was no bad thing - see you all at Wolves, Burnley, Doncaster and Sheff Wed then?

I always assumed they meant midweek home games.....only the most committed or stupid go to midweek aways unless they are within an hour or so from home.
