Unfortunately there never was any competition on this front, once a Premiership club sticks their oar in then that's that.

Could hope this is the only bit of bad news of the summer (we all long accepted s Shorey deal as done and dusted) but despite what the club says I think a clear out will be forced on them with Harper, Doyle, probably Lita, possibly Sonko and Matejovsky come the end of August all being realistic departures.

Could we attract someone like Micheal Kightly as a replacement? Probably not, I hear John Oster's available though...

Obviously this decision was all his fault...

I'm very surprised by this, really can't see him getting many games there to be honest but financially it'll be better for him which at his age would be a major factor.

I believe I posted earlier this week to say that he was off to another club. At that point some members of the HNA community took the p*ss out of the reliability of my 'source'.

Had they bothered to check, they would have realised that I am not one of those who regularly reports from 'sources' . I only do so if I am pretty sure of the reliability of my 'source'.

Here's hoping that my other 'source' is wrong about Doyle's intentions.
