Really p*sssed off with this news.

Was looking forward to seeing him back to his best next season.

Cannot blame the bloke really. One year deal at Reading at Mr Mads 'cut your cloth' wages or two years at Pompey on Premier wages - not a difficult choice.

Wycombe Royal
Alan Partridge I hpe that useless gimp Hammond is actually bothering to sort out a half decent replacement. If I see Kebe lining up against Forest then HAMMOND OUT banners will be in evidence against Plymouth. 8)

Sometimes players that have looked at of their depth suddenly come good when a new season starts. It happened with Convey, it took Sonko quite a few games as well.

Don't write someone off just because of a handful of minutes you have seen them play.

With Convey, he looked good but lightweight and, iirc, took 6 months almost 'off' to bulk up to the required size.

But that's a fair point.

I'll wait 'til after the Forest game before I get my booing hat on.

I'm equally surprised and disappointed at this news. I spoke to Glen before the Derby game and he could hardly walk, he said he really hoped we'd offer him another contract. I can only assume that we didn't offer him enough money. However, I am equally surprised that Harry is taking a chance on him being fully fit and, at his age, being able to play more than a handful of games. If he was out of contract, does that mean he went on another bloody free??

Bad news. Obviously we can't compete with European football, but how many others are going to follow suit? Thank oxf*rd we've got them tied into contracts.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Oh, and why Pompey? Of all the clubs. Still, good luck Blakey.

And you think Mr Mad would say no to a big offer on any player? The right offer and I think you will see any player in the squad sold.

Not just a great player but an all-time great for Reading. A privilege to watch him play and someone who certainly deserved more from his career.

I can’t see him fitting in with Pompey’s pace-based game, but I hope he has one hell of an Indian summer there, the judas b*stard.

I just pray that we sign a couple of great players before the start of the season.

floyd__streete ROFLeading. Didn’t Nicky Hammond say the other day he was confident that Little would stay? Presumably he also thinks that the moon is made of cheese.

I would hazard a guess that this was a very late approach by Portsmouth as Little himself had told the Chronicle that he would be staying (an article they published yesterday).

Portsmouth fans are ecstatic - they ware expecting SWP or Solano.

Based on what I've heard, it was extremely likely that Little knew all about Pompey's interest by last weekend and had already decided to leave us by the start of this week.

That's the case for any footballer in the world at any club though tbh. The most depressing thing about this, Wycombe Royal makes a valid point that it's not as if we've lost a 25 goal a season striker from the year before, we aren't going to miss him from last season, It feels like the David Connolly situation when we are just about to get a really good player then someone snatches him away!! The problem i see is that I have ZERO confidence or faith in the idiots in charge of transfers here in getting a decent replacement.

So either the Chronicle used an old interview or Little lied to them?
