Shame he has to leave but 7.5 million is a nice return on the 75k we paid, I would have taken 3.5.

Much as I like Doyle, if this turns out to be true, £7.5m would be a stunning piece of business for us.

Mind you, it's Kes who posted it up....

If it happens good business and it should give Coppell the original £75,000 back to re-invest, and the other £6.75M can be used for cutting JM's cloth accordingly !

Personally, I think the 7.5 million should be spent on the Station Hill development and shouldn't be invested in the team..... :o

LOL @ £7.5m

Never worth that, but that sure would ease his loss.

Doyle + Hunt for £10m, according to the "Sunday Sun".

I would - almost - take that, to be honest. £10m gives plenty to play with for one poor player, and another very good player who really lost form last year.

Coppell wont see half of that though. Loans and cheapy signings is our summer plan, plus the one typical big signing we used to have for around £1m.

Should we get £10m or £7.5m or whatever, I wouldn't expect to see more than half spent in transfer fees, but most of the rest would almost certainly go into the wage budget fund rather than anywhere else.

We don't have to sell, so I don't see many reasons to think we would let 2 of our best three strikers go, let alone all 3.

I most want to keep Kitson, but I certainly think we need to keep at least one of him and Doyle. Otherwise would be foolish and I'd be very dissapointed unless we brought in some crazy good new strikers.

Personally I think we have higher priorities than strikers, so hopefully only 0-1 will go.

7.5m for Doyle is more realistic than 2.5m for Kitson.
