Bill Oddie's Beard Probably a long shot but Leighton Baines could be a good shout if he would drop a division. He hasn't had much of a sniff in at Everton and they seem to be trying to sign Mattock now so you never know...

Not strictly true, but it's the difference between a thousand to one and a million to one - i.e. practically equivalent.Wycombe Royal We have as much chance of signing Leighton Baines as Leyton Orient do of re-signing Nicky Shorey.

winchester_royal Ian Harte has been released by Sunderland, and IMO would be an excellent short-term replacement for Shorey.
