The only saving grace is that you can't believe a word anyone in football says so any quotes mean very little anyway.

I've heard the club are willing to keep him on his £25k a week wages to keep him at the club. As you can imagine he doesn't really want to take a pay cut and the club know he will bang in plenty of goals in the championship.
