urz_1871 Sorry this may have been asked before, but can you transfer your existing points from your member card to your season ticket? or isit done automatically because you still have the same customer number?

Your member card IS your season ticket - so nothing changes about your points total.

Ok cheers Dirk, i was just wondering because they said they would be sending me a new card, even though i still have my old member card.

Probably will send one out with Nationwide or whoever instead of Barclays.

I'd be surprised if we hadn't seeing as we were only two - three hundred away about 3 weeks ago.

Last week it was about 12,500 with at least 500 still to process, so it'll easily clear 13k.

Last time we started a Championship season we had just over 9000 STHs.

Excellent. That suggests to me that we should have a minimum average attendence of about 17k.

I think it would be plausible to expect 3k floaters to turn up each game + 1k away.

I plan to be at Plymouth for my traditional first home game of the season. Hoping to make double the number of games this season and get back to a marginally respectable attendence level.

Over 13,000 is a good effort and about the level I'd hope would renew. Going to lose about 4000 which is expected and about right. To have gained an extra 4000 season ticket holders (from the last CCC season) is excellent. Once you get into a habit of going it's difficult to stop!

I managed to wean myself off it by RFC prescribing me an ever-reducing dose of good football and optimism. The methadone of football clubs.

Though with all addictions it just needs a reason to stop, for me it was the overpricing/taking the game away from the real fans stuff.

Why are the club stopping selling season tickets after today?

I don't get why you'd stop unless you hit the maximum capacity.

Because the club have too at some stage release tickets for the opening league games and it's no good not having a ST seat you purchased unavailable for the 1st league game as a supporter bought that seat already.

Rubbish.

They can issue an alternative seat on a game by game basis if a potential STH wants a seat that's already seen sold for the the first, or second or third game.

Alternatively limit the sale of STs to those seats that haven't been sold already for the first game.

It's not rocket science and I can't believe the club are willing to tell someone who wants to give them £450 to take a long walk off a short pier.

I don't ever remember a closing date being in force before.

Didn't renew. Received a replacement Member Card today in the mail.

Moan # 1. Waste of money replacing my card just so the word 'season ticket' is removed.
Moan # 2. Barclays Premiership Logo on said replacement card.

so if they didn't send a replacement and you went and sat in your old seat how does the steward know who really has the ticket for that seat in a dispute?

It is not to rub your nose in not being a season ticket holder as after all it was not on there in the first place to slap you on the back either.

It does indeed appear to be a really peculiar move!! I couldn't believe it when I read it on the OS. As you say, who in their right mind would turn someone away who on Monday am in still prepared to stump up £450?? Get their money whilst you can because the demand might well drop off if some more of our best players depart.

Where there is a will there is a way and, in this scenario, I really can't believe the way can be that difficult?

Well how about running both cards through one of the hand scanners?!!

As I said before, where there is a will there is a way and often the way is not that difficult!

How would they do it between two normal 'member cards'?

How would they do it if it still said Season Ticket on it? People can move their seats so what is stamped on the front of the card is largely irrelevant.
